18.01.2022 Having trouble deciding the theme for your cake? Why not put them together and have an all-in-one cake? Here we have Thomas and Brobee from Yo Gabba Gabba. Heard that the birthday boy was pretty impressed :)

17.01.2022 Had a few hiccups during the process of making this cake. Nevertheless, it turned out pretty good. The brother of the birthday boy came up with this cake idea. Apparently the boys used to play the Nintendo Pokemon game together and the birthday boy played the Jigglypuff character (the pink ball). :) The TV is chocolate mud with choc ganache. The Pokemon character Jigglypuff is white choc mud with white choc ganache.

15.01.2022 Can't believe it has taken me more than 2 weeks to post these photos. The birthday boy couldn't make up his mind so his mother asked me to combine both of his favourite toys onto the cake. A pineapple bun, for those of you who have never heard of it, is a popular snack in Hong Kong. Also known as Bo Lor Bao, it is a pillowy soft bread with a crunchy and sugary top crust which looks like a pineapple, hence the name. Chocolate mud cake with cookies and cream white chocolate ganache. Approx 35 servings.

It was such a challenge to decorate this cake in the recent wet weather we had in Sydney.The high humidity made the fondant very sticky to work with. Luckily the weather turned around just in time for this little girl's birthday. Happy birthday Iolanda!

01.01.2022 Didn't take long to convince me to make this cake - I can NEVER say no to french fries! I am extremely pleased with the way this turned out. Even my 5 year old son thought it was the real thing. Choc mud cake with expresso white choc ganache and of course the fries are made out of fondant. :)
