25.01.2022 Well who’s a little Piglet, then?
23.01.2022 We have had her for three and a half years now and it took the best part of two and a half for her to allow me to hand feed her, but there had to be a fence or gate between us. The trust level is such that I am now allowed in her personal space. She is looking pretty good for thirteen and her fleece is still amazing. It can be no other than , yes, you guessed it, our gorgeous, old girl, Maudie!
23.01.2022 Grotty Dottie!
22.01.2022 These two are such Besties and rarely far away from each other when they are outside. Little Dot is more like a puppy than a lamb when she plays, although I’m not sure Coco relishes the head butts! #elliottdalelambs #elliottdalesheep #carpetwoolsheep #rarebreedsheep #tibetanspaniel #tibetanspanielsofinstagram #lambsofinstagram #tibbiecoco #sugargumfarm
21.01.2022 Vinnie now has to take the bottle himself, which entails twenty to thirty seconds of pre drink behaviour, where he gets ready to suck the bottle. And this is EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. He’s like the tennis players bouncing the balls first!
21.01.2022 Wiccans have their five point Pentagram. This Shepherdess has her five butt Elliottdalegram!
19.01.2022 New Game! We now play Butt the Bottle before we drink our milk. These games last for around twenty seconds before we drink the milk. I am no longer allowed to put the teat in his mouth; I have to wait until he takes it. He is an entertaining little Doofus.
19.01.2022 Z O O M I E S I cannot keep up with her, with the camera!
17.01.2022 V A L E * D O L L Y She was not born on our farm but she became one of our own, and this little girl was an absolute warrior, in trying to overcome difficulties. She came to us at two weeks of age with severe Joint ill and the inability to walk or use her back legs properly. We worked hard to beat that, and with Dolly fighting all the way, beat it she did, only to be struck down a couple of weeks later by an infection, probably from the Joint ill, that none of us were able to defeat. Sadly we had to let her go today when the symptoms and pain became too much for even the bravest of Little Warrior lambs to bear. Vale Dolly. We will miss that gorgeous face, and Itty will miss his very best friend.

16.01.2022 Good morning everyone! I hope you’re all enjoying your breakfast as much as I am! xx #notasickieanymore #outofthewoodstoday #babydollsheepofinstagram #babydollsheep #babydollsheepregistry
16.01.2022 We have a tired little boy tonight as he went into town today for his Vet check. He saw Dr Abigail but Dr Dana also came in to see him. He passed with flying colours and had his nasty Oxytet injection without flinching and a staple removed. If he gets through tomorrow without an issue, he should be past the Danger Zone, which is great news. The wound is looking terrific and the stitches come out tomorrow week. Well done, Vinnie. You are certainly a little fighter.
14.01.2022 It’s okay everyone! Mum fixed me up and the setting sun tinted me perfectly. Seriously, even the Sun loves Dottie! #nofilterneeded #elliottdalelambs #elliottdalesheep #elliottdale #rarebreed #rarebreedsheep #tasmaniansheep #littledot #sugargumfarm
14.01.2022 Well it seems Dolly has a neurological issue and given the symptoms, mainly her aversion to loud noises and fast movement, added to the stiff legs, sawhorse stance, tail carriage and unwillingness to walk, it’s most probably Tetanus. That is the diagnosis Dr Jim is favouring, but being the awesome Vet he is, he has treated for several things,to cover all the bases. Apparently it is now over to me as Tetanus requires constant nursing for the next few days to get her through th...e worst part. Hopefully then, as the toxins dissipate, she will be okay. Dr Jim gave a much better prognosis than the Internet does, so fingers crossed my nursing skills are up to the challenge. Since the round of injections Dolly received, she seems to be feeling much better than this morning and she is able to get up by herself, walk around and graze. We haven’t seen her do these things for the past couple of days. Shade is really good for her, and she and her bestie, Itty, are currently chilling out in the garden, under the Manchurian Pear tree. I hear the leaves taste pretty good too. Thanks Dr Jim. We’re glad you could sort out that unusual set of symptoms! See more
12.01.2022 Vinnie has taken the major step of moving outside with the three bottle ewes. He is loving it. They are getting along really well and he spent his first night in the outside pen with them last night. He loves having the Sheepie company. You don’t get a minute if you sit outside for a cuppa though!
11.01.2022 It seems Ros hasn’t forgotten the deliciousness of Twiggies at her Afternoon Tea party with Dottie.
11.01.2022 They really do have the best little faces! #babydollsheep #babydollsheepofinstagram #babydollsheepregistry #babydollsmiles #babydollsheepaustralia #sugargumfarm

10.01.2022 I know you’re all hoping for an uplifting post about Dolly, but unfortunately it seems it’s going to be a slow process and I don’t have much good news at this stage, other than she is still with us. Tetanus is a nasty infection and shows exactly why we need to be vigilant with 5 in 1 or 6 in 1 vaccinations as they really do help to prevent this situation. Everything I have read, and over the past couple of days I have read everything I can find, tells me she probably won’t ma...ke it but we are hanging on to Dr Jim’s prognosis that she has a chance. So, we are supporting her as best we can, monitoring her, trying to keep her quiet and stress free, hydrated, fed and medicated and picking her up when she falls down. For now that is all we can do. I haven’t posted the not so good photos as it is a bit distressing, but here she is having her lunchtime bottle. She stood for a while, but then had to sit down. If you have sheep, please ensure you do their annual and pre-lambing vaccinations. It can save a lot of heartache. See more
10.01.2022 Nothing quite like an Elliottdale in full wool. The Mums-to-be. We would like to have had them shorn but with the weather changing from 24 degrees to 3 degrees and the recent snow, it wasn’t possible. So, we will just have to work around it. Looks like I’ll have to get the clippers out and we’ll shear after the lambs have dropped.
10.01.2022 We have weaned the Babydoll lambs to get them ready for their new homes and to give their Mums a bit of a break. Love those faces.
10.01.2022 Lemon trees are so yummy!
06.01.2022 We are so very grateful to these two ladies; Dr Abigail, on the right, and Dr Daina, from Ballarat Pet and Farm Vet for all they have done for Vinnie Baa-barino. The operation, the phone calls and the general care has been outstanding. Thank you also to the Vet nurses and staff behind the scenes who also play a big part. We may not see you very often but we appreciate your work. We could not recommend this Vet practice more highly. PS. Even behind the masks you can see their lovely smiles!
05.01.2022 I’m doing some pruning Mum, and YES, I’M ALLOWED TO!
05.01.2022 If you hear of two sheep robbing a bank today, it was us!! In our #herdyuk masks. Thanks #herdyuk, they made it all the way to Australia.
04.01.2022 Dottie Gets her Butt On Dottie has been practising her headbutt and it was Coco’s turn to cop one this morning. Prior to this they had been playing Chasey and wrestling. Coco went into submissive posture and Dottie was having none of it. Enter Referee Sheba to sort them out!
03.01.2022 Three dog beds, two couches and our bed where she usually sleeps but today Coco has to sleep on Vinnie’s towels while he’s outside!
03.01.2022 Atticus, one of our Cheviot rams loves a piece of bread more than life itself. See how happy it makes him! #lovecheviots #cheviotsheep #cheviotsheepofinstagram #minicheviotsheep #minicheviots #morebreadplease #sugargumfarm
