21.01.2022 Burra is in the Mid North of Sth Australia. The rail line from Adelaide was opened in 1870. and this beautiful stone Station was completed in 1883, replacing an old timber building. The Refreshment Rooms closed in 1936 and passenger services ceased in 1986. After years of neglect the building was fully restored between 2010-14 by the "Friends of the Burra Railway Station". It is now open to the public and can be hired for special events. #Heritagerailway #australian #historyinpictures
