25.01.2022 Well after 5 long months away at work I finally got to catch up with our not so little mate Highland Son on his Birthday. He was just returning from a morning gallop at the Sunshine Coast where he will possibly head to a trial early this month all going well.

25.01.2022 Our 3yr old Gelding Highland Son returned to the track today in empathetic style taking out race 6, the class 1, 1000 mtr at the Sunshine Coast. Once again he was well ridden by jockey Dale Smith. A decision will be made in the coming weeks as to a possible next step for him.

25.01.2022 Highland Son steps out tonight in race 6 at the Sunshine Coast. His work has been good and we look forward to him getting back to the track.James Orman to ride.

24.01.2022 Highland Son took part in todays 1000 mtr jump out at Corbould Park and although running home at the back of the 4 horse field it was all part of the learning process as he heads toward his next race start. The Gr 1 winning Aligator Blood looked good going to the line in front of his opposition.

24.01.2022 Lady Eighty Eight returned to CBR Lodge today for a well earned break following her run at Aquis Park yesterday Vanessa Johnston was a late replacement rider who handled the mare well from a difficult barrier to finish only 4.2 lengths from the winner and although she finished 8th the run did have some merit.

24.01.2022 Lady Eighty Eight races today at Ipswich in race 8.The distance is 1350 metres and Micheal Cahill is booked to ride. Her work has been 1st class and she has a wining record over the distance on the track.All the best to all involved.

23.01.2022 BelEsprit yearling ( Scotty ) back home for a spell at CBR Equine Lodge after 4 weeks with the breaker.He has done well and we are very pleased with his progress.He will head to the trainer next month all going well.

23.01.2022 Hi all, hope everyone is staying safe during these trying times.It certainly has put a lot of preasure on everyone and we can only follow the guide lines and hope we all get through this sooner rather than later. I just wanted to add a an update on how things are progressng with our horses at this time. Lady Eighty Eight has had her last race and will be retired to the broodmares paddock.Guy Racing have kept the mare in supperb condition however she has developed a few little... quirks which prevented her achieving her potential. A decision is yet to be made on a stallion mating. Our Holy Roman Emperor mare Lyreb is carrying a foal by Wanted so looking forward to the arrival of a new foal. Last but not least our 2yr old Gelding Highland Son who is being trained by Kendrick Racing is due to trial this week after a minor set back with an infection. Stay safe everyone. See more

22.01.2022 Highland Son returned to racing last night at the Sunshine Coast finishing a very respectable 3rd. From barrier 6 he got up to be 4th or 5th at the 400 mtr mark and ran home well after a slight check in what was a quick last 600 in 33.66 seconds. A nice run 1st up and well ridden by James Orman.

21.01.2022 Lady Eighty Eight finishing 4th today at Ipswich. A good effort considering she never got a clear run in the straight. A step up in distance next start would seem to be ideal at this stage of her prep. .

21.01.2022 We all had some good news on our mare Lyreb this week.. She has had a positive 1st scan to Fastnet Rocks son Wanted.

21.01.2022 Hi all.Just an update on our mare Lady Eighty Eight. She has had her 2nd positive test to Snitzels son Dracarys who stands in Queensland at Oakwood Farm, Haigslea. We believe he is a great addition to the Queensland stallion roster. Purchased for a $1,000,000 as yearling he went on to set a track record in a G3 over 1300mtrs at Randwick with Trapeze Artist behind him on that occasion. Probably his best run in his short career was in the 2017 Coolmore Stud G1 at Flemington where he drew barrier 20, was 16th at the 800mtrs and finished 6th, 2.9 lengths behind the the winner Merchant Navy. He was retired early in his racing career due to injury but he pocesses the breeding and ability to be a success at stud.

18.01.2022 Hi Everyone Realy happy to share the arrival of our new Filly Foal by Wanted from our Holy Roman Emperor mare Lyreb. After a few anxious days the little one is now suckling from her mom. Many thanks to all at CBR Equine Lodge and the Cooroora Veterinary Clinic.

18.01.2022 Lady Eighty Eight looking good at the Guy Racing stables. She heads to Ipswich today to run in R7 over the 1350.Looking to finish 2018 on a positive note.

17.01.2022 2yr old gelding Highland Son having a few weeks off work .He has done all that was asked of him last tme in and we look forward to seeing him back in work before the end of December.

17.01.2022 Highland Son wins his 1st race as a 2yr old tonight and was ridden too perfection by jockey Dale Smith. Great to see this young horse show the ability he indicated very early on in his preparation. Congratulations to Stuart Kendrick and his team and CBR Equine Lodge who have done a great job with this boy from day one.

16.01.2022 Brood mare Lyreb ( Holy Roman Emperor) is doing well and definitely showing all the signs of pregnancy. She will have another visit from our vet at the end of this week for anorher check up

15.01.2022 Highland Son will have his 1st 3yr old start today at the Sunshine Coast. Race 6 over the 1000 mtrs. He has done very well following his break and we are all looking forward to seeing him back on the track.

15.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we have to announce the loss of our beautiful mare Brookton Tiara. Unfortunately on the eve of her mating she has succumbed to a condition called Colitis. She was in perfect condition at the time so this has taken everyone by complete surprise. We are thankful that she has left behind two beautiful foals and we wish to thank everyone involved in giving her the care and attention she deserved,especially CBR Equine Lodge and the vets at Cooroora Veterinary clinic.

15.01.2022 Lady Eighty Eight ran a creditable 5th today at Aquis Park. From back in the field she had to come wide and ran on well. The race was run at quite a slick pace being just 1.1 sec outside the class record.

15.01.2022 Well the Lady ran on from the back of the field to finish 4th at Aquis Park on Saturday after another slow start. She got squeezed up a little in the home straight and didnt get a clear run until late . A pretty good effort to finish where she did. She will now step up to 1600 metres for her next start once Team Guy settle on a start date.

13.01.2022 Hi All Lady Eighty Eight will start tomorrow at Ipswich over the 1350m trip. Guy Racing and clients have taken a racing lease on the mare and Sullivan Racing wish the new owners and the mare the very best for her future racing. Our boy, Scotty ( BelEspritxBrookton Tiara) is coming along nicely. He has been gelded and will head up to Kerron at Southern Cross horses to be broken in and educated in early April. He has really developed into a nice young horse and we are looking f...orward to seeing him take the next step. Will post new pics of him in the next few days. See more

12.01.2022 Hi All. Our 3yr Old Highland Son heads to Eagle Farm on Wednesday to run in Race 7 over the 1200 metre trip,with Dale Smith to ride.He has done well since his nice win at the Sunshine coast so we look forward to a good performance from him back at racing headquarters.

12.01.2022 Highland Son getting ready for some work on Saturday,and then back in for a hose down. He worked nicely with company and is doing everthing right at this stage.

11.01.2022 Great trial by Lady Eighty Eight at the Gold Coast this week. Bryan and Daniel Guy have her in great condition and it was good to see Dan Griffin reunited with the mare once more following his time away from riding due to injury.Team Guy have suggested that she may be nominated for a race on the 17th of November at Aquis Park.

11.01.2022 Sullivan Racing and CBR Equine recently secured the lovely Holy Roman Emperor mare Lyreb and today we had her served by Wanted, a son of Fastnet Rock who stands at Clear Mountain Fairview. We wish to thank Stud Master Mick Frappell and his staff for their assistance today.

11.01.2022 Lady Eighty Eight will have her 1st race this prep at Aquis Park at the Gold Coast today. She will run in race 5 over the 1200 metres and be ridden by Ryan Plumb. The mare has trialed well leading in to this race and should perform well.

09.01.2022 Lady Eighty Eight races today at Aquis Park on the Gold Coast.She will run over the 1400 metres in race 9 and will be ridden by Ryan Plumb. She has a wide barrier draw to contend with and may need a little luck in the running however she is well and her fitness cant be faulted.

07.01.2022 Hi Everyone Highland Son heads to Aquis Park at the Gold Coast today to compete in Race 4 for 3yr olds. He looked a little unlucky when finishing 2nd last start at Eagle Farm .He has had a freshen up in preparation for today and should be very competitive .

04.01.2022 Lady Eighty Eight arrives back at Guy Racing Stables after a 6 week break. She has done very well spelling at CBR Equine Lodge and is now ready for work .

04.01.2022 2yr old Highland Son will head to Eagle Farm tomorrow for his 2nd career start. He has worked well and continues to learn his trade.

02.01.2022 Hi All.Well Lady Eighty Eight gets to have a run today at the Sunshine Coast in race 8 at 4.35pm. Jim Byrne has been booked to ride over 1400 metres. It had been planned to give her a run over the 1600 the previous week however the heavy track conditions did not suit.The Lady has continued to train well and we can expect a strong 1400 metres from her.

01.01.2022 Lady Eighty Eight is back racing at Aquis Park tomorrow in race 9. The distance is 1300 meters and Dan Griffin will be riding.After a rather luckless run for 5th over 1200 two weeks ago the mare has continued to work well so heres hoping she can get a good run from barrier 8 and finish the race off nicely.
