19.01.2022 { Farewell, Petals! } I am here to tell you that I have some good news to share with you during these bleak times. Its been an incredible 10 years to say the least, but all good things must come to an end, so Ill be closing the doors to our online store at the end of June. I finally have the courage to admit that Summerblossom no longer makes my heart sing, and its time for me to move on, explore, contribute and discover new projects. What does this mean for you? Well, it...s actually pretty great news because Ive already started marking down goodies with reckless abandon in preparation for closure. And Ill keep doing so until Ive spread the very last of these beautiful floral treasures to as many of you as I possibly can. Worried about a return? Please dont be. Im continuing to trade until June 2020 and after that Ill still be here (thinking I might turn this into a personal account Not sure yet but Ill let you know!) We get hardly any returns anyway, but of course, Ill remain contactable, reasonable and accomodating here and via email/phone. I truly hope that grabbing one of the last pieces of Summerblossom at a wildly reduced price brings you a little joy (goodness knows, we all need some distraction at the moment). What will the future of Summerblossom look like? At this stage I will be honest with you, I am not entirely sure. Ive spent a decade working on and in this business, and during that time I have changed and grown immeasurably. I think it will take a little while to really nut out my next move. I have light and creativity to share and I cannot wait to see with comes next. I may continue to host flower-crown-making workshops, Im not quite sure. In truth I have been holding on to Summerblossom because its familiar, fun and profitable but I need to make space to welcome new challenges. How can I begin to thank you all for the decade? From my tiny stall at Glebe markets, to the highest of highs! I actually do not know how to put my gratitude for your loyalty, support and kindness into words! Its so overwhelming when I even begin to think about all of you who have worn Summerblossom to your special occasions, who visited me at markets, who tagged me in beautiful photos wait I have to stop - theres something in my eye. And for my very dearest who were there from the earliest days when the world seemed a little simpler Dont be sad, we had a pretty special floral, sparkly time didnt we? Sending my most heartfelt love to you all, especially during these challenging and unprecedented times. x

17.01.2022 Quick snap while wrapping orders to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart who has checked in with me since the announcement. Its been a difficult week, but at the same time it all feels so right and my soul feels lighter. Youre all so beautiful and I appreciate every comment, message, phone call and order. I havent been on here much since because the orders have been non-stop. Im going to jump on stories soon and show you whats left, and tonight after the girls go to sleep Ill make some more markdowns. 03.01.2022 Violets supposed to be asleep but shes currently calling out to me; No, youre a babe! Youre smart and generous. Mum? I love you and you are kind and lovely and sweet and generous. WHERE IS MINNIE? Oh, its ok, I found her. Oh, did you know teddy has a hole in his ear? Its ok but. Mum! What are you doing? . No joke. But April thinks it is because shes giggling away. GIRLS, bedtime was 20 minutes ago . I think I say this every few weeks but honestly this is the BEST age. Aprils 1 and Violet is 3 (and a half) and I wish I could freeze time and do this stage in slow motion.

03.01.2022 With a heavy heart after an intense period here in our beautiful country Im officially back at work. It feels strange to go back to business as usual when so many of our Australian family are likely only just beginning to comes to terms with the devastation these fires have caused. I decided not to run a donation of profits sales drive as I was in no state of mind to think about a promotion . Instead I have made a personal donation directly to a few agencies and will be a...ttempting to assist those affected by this crisis by using my platform in another (and I hope, in my case, have a greater impact than donating a % of my profits). Having listened to some sobering conversations about the long-term affect these fires will have on industry and mental health I hope to use my platform to inspire us all to send funds directly to rural and regional fire-affected areas by highlighting small businesses that desperately need our sales to survive what should be their peak tourist season. Ill scour Facebook groups, @buyfromthebush, @spendwiththem and any submissions from you all out find stores/brands/businesses to feature that I feel will connect with you, and to hopefully encourage you to buy directly from them. Ill begin by sharing this incredible painting by @salfalkinerart. I found this such moving depiction of her woodshed through a dust storm. Please have a look at her work and like, follow, share. Australia, I love you and Im sorry. Weve heard your message. We will do better (more on that another time).
