17.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who has reached out with questions about the community garden recently. The committee members have provided the following updates: * The community compost bins will be re-opened when we can confirm they can be emptied on a regular basis (e.g. when we resume our bi-monthly working bees). * We've tentatively scheduled the next working bee for SATURDAY 11 JULY 9.30am - 11am, pending the latest news on social distancing measures.

17.01.2022 Everyone is welcome to attend our working bees on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month between 9.30am - 11am. Recent activities include: planting snowpeas and spinach, harvesting sweet potatoes, lilly pillies and tomatoes, weeding and spreading compost on the garden beds. One of our superstar gardeners even made lilly pilly jam! YUM!

10.01.2022 First working bee since lockdown! Lots of weeding, planted garlic (to harvest in summer) and opened the community compost bins. All while maintaining social distancing - well done everyone!

06.01.2022 We're temporarily suspending our regular working bees and closing our communal compost bins. However, the garden will remain open to the public 24/7 should you find yourself in need of some solitude in nature. Members will shortly receive an email with more information about watering rosters and some jobs (weeding, harvesting, planting) that can be undertaken while observing government guidelines for social distancing.

05.01.2022 Drop by the garden tomorrow (Saturday 28 September) between 9.30am-11am to plant seedlings!
