23.01.2022 Why join Summerland Dressage Club? Become a part of the local dressage community, meet new like minded horse lovers and enthusiasts. We hold Training Days throughout the year. They are an opportunity to take part in a range of fun, learning and development opportunities for both horse and rider. Our Training Days include practice test riding, protocol days, seminars, clinics and lessons with qualified coaches.... We hold a number of Participant, Members and Official dressage competitions throughout the year. Our major annual event is the Far North Coast Dressage Championships which runs over two days and attracts riders from across NSW and QLD. We also hold smaller and casual competitions which are low key and relaxed. Our Club also hosts the Equestrian for the Lismore Master Games, which is held biannually in conjunction with the Lismore City Council. All members are eligible for our prestigious end of year point score awards which are announced at our Christmas Party & AGM each December. It is a way to network with other like-minded people. We provide a safe, friendly and FUN environment for all riders (and non riders). Unsure or have a questionSend us a message, we are happy to help!

13.01.2022 SDC’s AGM is being held on Sunday 6 December, starting at 2pm at the new Lions Kiosk, Bangalow Showgrounds Attending the AGM is a great way to have your say and/or get more involved with the club In saying so, it seems an appropriate time to explain a little more about what is involved with our club’s committee. We understand that everyone is busy, has a family, a social life, a full-time job and of course a horse or two!... With this in mind, and after considerable discussion by the committee, we have created additional committee positions, with the hope that we can find a larger group of like-minded horsey people who can each share smaller proportions of the duties as a larger team. Our committee meet once a month for dinner (and a drink or two ). Of course, we talk all things horses and then go through the monthly agenda, which is generally about organising future dressage events. We also review previous events and discuss how we can improve things for the future. The committee support one another and share the workload where needed #team I am asking for your help to ensure our club can continue operating to provide the best possible range and number of events for all members in 2021. Unfortunately, if our club cannot fulfill the committee positions, we potentially may not be able to hold events next year. Of course, do not want to see this happen, however, it is impossible for only a handful of individuals (the present size of the committee) to run a club that currently has over 100 members. All current committee positions will be declared vacant at the AGM and open for nominations. All current committee members are happy to help mentor and teach any new individuals. If anyone would like to discuss anything further about any position they might be interested in or ask questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. As always, we are very open to any feedback from members to help improve the club. Onwards and upwards!
