19.01.2022 Summertown members got the opportunity to assist with yesterday's hazard reduction burn

17.01.2022 The fire danger season has now been announced and confirmed for the Mt Lofty Ranges as beginning on November the 15th this year. Time to finalise those pre-season preparations around your property.

16.01.2022 Its been a really busy time at Summertown & Districts CFS Brigade from Cudlee Creek to KI, with significant number of members, new and old, filling many many shifts and deployments since the 20th of Dec. Our members are still looking at future deployments and one of our trucks (Summertown 14) is still over on the island. We've really appreciated the support, donations, gifts and messages dropped into the station, posted online, as well as the signs around Uraidla, South Australia and Summertown, South Australia for the TDU. We thought we'd get a few snaps of the banners and signs to share them wider here. Thanks again!

16.01.2022 We’re back again basket pressing fresh Ashton Valley Fresh apples at the Uraidla and Summertown Country Show. 2L bottles $6 or a cup for $2.50. Have a great day!

15.01.2022 Tonight at 6pm Summertown & Districts CFS Brigade were alerted to multiple smoke alarms at The Uraidla Hotel. It turned out to be a confirmed chimney fire, with response coming from Summertown and Carey Gully members. Luckily the fire was contained and dealt with in the chimney as confirmed by our Thermal Imaging Cameras (see photos). We're always grateful for the ongoing support we get from The Uraidla Hotel at Summertown & Districts CFS Brigade, so it was only right we could do our part to help whenever we're needed.

12.01.2022 Summertown & Districts CFS Brigade members enjoying a BBQ dinner and drinks ahead of the Christmas break. Its been a busy year with many new recruits, members heading to NSW on deployment and a busy start to the fire season locally already. Thanks Greenhill Wines, Adelaide Hills for hosting us yet again!

10.01.2022 Deployment four to NSW left today, this time it includes Summertown & Districts CFS Brigade captain Andrew

08.01.2022 This is part of the area that SA CFS (among many others) including a number of Summertown crew, worked in over several months until January 2020. Great to see an end result in at least part of NSW.

07.01.2022 Today at the station we received a range of thank you cards that were gratefully received at Summertown & Districts CFS Brigade. We believe they're from Littlehampton Primary. We shared this image on email and during our online video training tonight to ensure all members could see them, as we're not attending the station for regular trainings or meetings. We thought it was worth sharing on Facebook too

06.01.2022 The safety and well being of our Summertown CFS volunteers is always our number 1 priority. Lets make sure we ask R U OK? The CFS R U OK promotion material also features one of our own volunteers - Leah Salamon

06.01.2022 Summertown brigade members (along with more than 1000 other CFS, MFS, NPWS & SAAS crew) have been on 5 of the 17 deployments to NSW this year. These photos were taken at the Guyra Road fire. Crews were blacking out the fire edge in steep country near Ebor, east of Armidale.

03.01.2022 Summer is here...
