25.01.2022 SummitCare Penrith celebrated Diwali last week, which brought beautiful dance, music and cheer into the home. Staff members Mamata & Subita dressed up and performed traditional dance much to everyone's delight, and residents from Magnolia (DSU) participated in the parade to the mainstream area with colourful streamers and candles. 24.01.2022 SummitCare Wallsend will celebrate a momentous event on Friday when our resident Milton turns 100 and celebrates ten years living in our home. I have no regrets. I have a great life, he says. For me, it’s all about bringing enjoyment to other people that’s what makes me happy. One of the keys to Milton’s ongoing satisfaction is his busy life at Wallsend. Between yoga, family outings and singing in the Waratah Male Voice Warblers choir, he has something on every day.... Just the way he likes it.

Residents watched Indigenous dances, created NAIDOC Week-inspired paintings, cultural learning and more. 18.01.2022 Last week, SummitCare Baulkham Hills residents enjoyed the occasion of Diwali, a festival of lights and one of the major festivals celebrated mostly by Hindus, Jains and Sikhs. This was a beautiful time to remember all the good still in the world and how we can overcome darkness together. 16.01.2022 Looking back to the 6769 Assyrian New Year celebration last year, you can see the wonderful party SummitCare Smithfield enjoyed. Music, dance, singing and delicious food! This year was a more intimate gathering with immediate family members only, due to COVID-19 restrictions. Residents still were able to enjoy the occasion and celebrate 6770! 14.01.2022 It has been NAIDOC Week celebrations at SummitCare Canley Vale! A time when we celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Residents participated in an Aboriginal artwork day, painting different boomerang designs which are a symbol of cultural endurance and a tangible link to their long presence on this continent. Residents also watched an Australian Aboriginal documentary which allowed them to gain knowledge of our first ...people. 03.01.2022 We are so excited to share the birthday of not just one centenarian today, but two! Keith enjoys a fun and active lifestyle at SummitCare Baulkham Hills and has a passion for skydiving. Unable to take him skydiving, we did the next best thing and brought the parachute to him.
