Coming out of a dry start to the summer and being hit with over 500mm of rain increased demand for our mowing and gardening teams. Due to Summit Services peak resourcing model we were able to deploy additional mowing teams to keep on schedule for our clients with our mobile scheduling application paying dividends for our works coordinators in the field. 08.01.2022 Over the last 18 months Summit Services has been completing various tree installation and maintenance projects for The Five Million Trees for a Greener Sydney by 2030 NSW Government initiative. The main focus is growing tree canopy coverage from 16.8% to 40%. This means more shade, cooler suburbs, more habitats for our wildlife and even an increase in property values. 03.01.2022 Our Summit Services Grounds Teams have been hard at work over the last few weeks completing tree bed preparation for a future tree planting project. Summit Services project manager Tom Jackett completed the mark out stage in line with the dial before you digs completed prior to commencement. This job consisted of the ripping and excavating designated tree beds with a 5tonne excavator. Spreading 155m3 of organic compost mix throughout the tree beds with an application of horticultural grade Gypsum. Blending the organic compost and Gypsum into the soil profile using a tractor mounted rotary hoe. Looking forward to the tree planting stage and the finished project - well done team.

01.01.2022 Summit Services Arborist crews removing fire affected trees in the Dargan, Clarence area. Trees were burnt due to recent bushfires in the area. These trees pose a risk to the public and local properties. This job was a good opportunity for our young climbers to build up some vital experience removing hazardous trees under the supervision of our advanced climbers within Summit Services.
