23.01.2022 Chilli the Jack Russell - It’s National Dog Day, so a happy snap of man’s best friend is in order. This fine looking Jack Russell Chilli belongs to my sister. Chilli and his four legged friend Fudge are both much-loved members of the family. Look at that amazing tongue! The ultrasonic focus motor on my lens drives these dogs crazy. It’s amazing the frequencies that dogs can hear! I had to focus from a distance of 15m using a long 300mm lens and wait till he settled down before I could shoot. Luckily he was kind enough to stay still for a brief moment and pose for this beautiful portrait. #NationalDogDay #jackrussell

21.01.2022 CityCat Warp In my hometown of #BrisVegas the CityCat service is an iconic mode of transport on the Brisbane River. I love the wicked warp speed effect in this shot as the CityCat slides into the ferry terminal at South Bank Parklands. #longexposure

19.01.2022 Harbour Bridge on Fire! I was thrilled to photograph the #VividSydney Festival. The fleet of Sydney ferries are illuminated with vibrant colours as they pull out of Circular Quay and make their way into #Sydney harbour. The #longexposure is timed to capture the ferry as it enters the frame. 15.01.2022 Ribbon Dance - #VividSydney sure put on a spectacular show both on and off the water. I was like a kid in a candy store capturing the brilliantly lit ferries till midnight. I love the electric blue #lighttrails and the arc of the searchlight in the background.

Alex Heads turns on a spectacular display of vibrant color over the eastern beach as the sun sinks into the west. The slow exposure creates a brief sensation of motion as a couple stroll past. The owner of this drenched beastie was throwing the ball into the surf. The dog bounded into the water, happy and content to play fetch on the beach in the late afternoon sun. #NationalDogDay

07.01.2022 Dynamic #Sydney It’s an incredible view from the walkway at the First Fleet Steps of Mrs Macquarie’s Chair. The twilight magic of the blue hour just before dark is the perfect time to capture the #cityscape of Sydney. Clouds streak across the sky as the #longexposure of 30 seconds stretches time. The patriotic red, white and blue colours of the #Aussie flag reflect off the bay at Farm Cove. UPDATE - This photo won Instagram Australia photo of the day in June 2015

05.01.2022 It’s Ekka time in BrisVegas! The Brisbane Exhibition, or simply The Ekka is the annual show where the country meets the city. I love the Clydesdale horses. Majestic, gentle creatures of great strength and grace. There is a remarkable bond between the trainers and these beautiful horses. #ekka

01.01.2022 My great grandfather served his country in the Boer War and I was inspired to shoot some photos of Anzac Square in his honour. In memory and thanks to all those who serve. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten. I dedicate these images to the serviceman and women of Australia and New Zealand.
