25.01.2022 Through out this season the SSA have had the umpires cast votes after all rounds to declare a Best and Fairest in all divisons. The Votes have been compiled and checked. Winners in all divisions will recieve a $100 Voucher for K2 Baseball & Softball which will be arranged to be given at round one when we go back.... 23.01.2022 Notice of Annual General Meeting. Please note the SSA will hold their AGM on Wednesday the 15th of July at 7:30pm. The current plan is for this to be in person at the clubrooms. If the recommendations from the government prevent this we will advise of a Zoom link for this meeting. ... All SSA executive positions are available. Please see the files section and complete a nomination form and send through to [email protected] President Vice President Treasurer Secretary Registrar Please consider taking one of these positions it will be great to see new blood and fresh ideas come into committee. I will ensure I am available to any new committee members for questions and guidance etc and will ensure to take the time to handover the position properly.. 23.01.2022 Att all Clubs and Members The SSA exec have been in lengthy discussions to determine what we can do about the remainder of our season.. Given the current climate and advice from Softball Victoria along with the Government recommendations in place we have regrettably had to make the decision to cancel the remainder of the season... ... While we are aware our numbers don’t reach those stated by the government recommendations, our community clubs members and spectators health and well being is our priority and we believe this to be the best decision at this time. This is a decision we have not taken lightly, we hope that all our members understand and support the decision made by the SSA.. We hope to see each and everyone of you back raring to go for next summer.. The executive had discussed and believe the fairest way to determine results for the season is to base this on ladder positions going into finals.. Congratulations to the following winners Under 13s Goonawarriors Under 16s Craigieburn Eagles Women’s Sherwood Knightmares Men’s Craigieburn Eagles Trophy and medal presentations will most likely happen round one next season unless we can arrange something in the mean time.. we will advise if this is the case The executive are also in the process of counting the votes for best and fairest in all divisions and will announce these shortly on Facebook. We would also like to thank out Batter up participants and their families for a great season and look forward to seeing you all next season. Thanks also goes to Emma Brooksby and Shannon Smith for their incredible coordination of the umpires this season, it’s was fantastic to see new faces give umpiring a go and see it all run so smoothly and by that is a credit to you both.. Also to Michelle Wood for her management of the canteen this season. Certainly had the place ship shape and kept all our members full and content! While it’s a disappointing end to the season it most certainly doesn’t take away from it being a wonderful one... We thank each and everyone of you for making that happen, some amazing games have taken place some fantastic sportsmanship and everyone supporting each other.. We wish all of our members well and hope you all stay healthy and safe through out this period of uncertainty.. Bring on next season....

20.01.2022 Update from school sport Victoria.. Such a shame for all the athletes involved, however a decision that has been taken with everyone’s health and best interests at heart..

19.01.2022 Good afternoon members, l have waited to report on the last Presidents meeting until after the update from the Govt on Covid19 The Presidents meeting was held on Tuesday night and the outcome basically was to wait until today's media release and the Softball Australia and Softball Victoria will converse with State Sports Department to workout how the the new release will effect community softball. Ideas and options are being considered. This may take a week or a little longer..., please stay safe do all you can to remain healthy and as soon as l hear anything you will too. I am also in touch with Council to ensure we have all bases covered and get on the diamond as soon as possible. Please remember there are still positions on the Association committee that need filling. For the Association to be up and running we need people to put their hand up and get on board. Please consider this if you want to see any type of season happen this year

18.01.2022 Further to my previous post we will still work on a full season should we get the go ahead from State Government and SV. All clubs are asked to forward teams numbers to [email protected] so commencement on a draw can be done. Its important that this be done as soon as possible

Yay finally we can hit the diamonds. We have a covid safe plan in place that everyone must read and agree to before you can start please see or contact your club covid officer for further information. Players from Storm and Sherwood Knights if you wish to play we will accomodate you in amongst the teams playing come on down to get a game. See you all really soon!

03.01.2022 UPDATE: SV thanks you for your understanding and patience with the ever-changing landscape in respect to COVID-19. It is our strong recommendation that all Vict...orian softball training, games, events and programs are suspended until further notice. As a result of this decision, the Open and Under 18 State Championships will be postponed until the start of the 2020/21 season.
