25.01.2022 Notice to members and the public Due to current circumstances re: COVID-19, We are sad to announce that our annual show, scheduled for May, has been cancelled. At this point in time our normal Friday & Saturday activities will continue up at the Boilerhouse until such time as we are directed to cease. Please be aware of the common sense hygiene practices that we should all be adhering to we have plenty of soap, water and paper towels.... We, the committee, have proposed that we hold our show in the timeframe already allocated to our studio sale in November Show week will now be held Opening night Friday November 20, running until SUNDAY November 29th. 15.01.2022 Message from Ken.... Good morning all Hope you are all well and coping with this current situation... I would like to think that we are getting closer to being back up at the Boilerhouse and we can get back to business as usual (what ever that is going to be) As you may be aware , a while back I put up a virtual art show on the Boilerhouse Gallery facebook page. I believe that a couple of sales were also generated from that. I have re-posted that set of artwork photos on a number of occasions but now I feel it would be a good time to remake this exhibition. If you would like to participate could you please send me (via email or through facebook) a good quality photo of any artwork you would like to display. I need details as well please:- Artist name Title of work Medium Size (preferably artwork only or if it includes a frame then list this with the size ie: 480mm x 375mm including frame) and Sale price If you would be so kind as to send through your works by Monday September 14th please. If you have works in the old version of our show let me know if you wish for any of them to be included in the new show. Have a look if you have forgotten what work you have up there. Some news for you all I will be commencing framing on Fridays as of next week Friday November 20th. If you would like some framing work done please call/email/message me to make a booking I will let you know what days/date/timeframe I have available for your work to be done. This will avoid people turning up wanting something done but having to wait around until other jobs are finished and I may not have the time then to get to your requests. BUT WITH STRICT CONDITIONS 1. IF YOU DO NOT FEEL 100% WELL PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IN THE INTEREST AND SAFETY OF OTHERS 2. EVERYONE IS ASKED TO ENTER THE ART ROOM VIA THE DOOR NEAR THE TABLE AND SEATS. 3. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SANITIZE ON YOUR WAY IN AND ADHERE TO COVID SAFE PRACTICES UNFORTUNATELY THIS WILL REQUIRE THE WEARING OF A MASK WHILE IN THE ARTROOM PLEASE. PLEASE CONTINUE TO USE THE SANITIZER AND/OR WASH YOUR HANDS FREQUENTLY DURING YOUR TIME INSIDE 4. YOU MUST SIGN IN WITH THE DATE, YOUR NAME AND CONTACT NUMBER, TIME IN AND TIME OUT 5. THE 1.5 METRE DISTANCE SPACING RULE APPLIES 6. IF YOU WANT TEA OR COFFEE - BRING YOUR OWN CUP AND SPOON TAKE THEM HOME T OWASH PLEASE. MAKING WILL BE RESTRICTED TO ONE PERSON AT A TIME FOR ACCESS TO THE HOT WATER AND FRIDGE. NO FOOD TO BE SHARED. PLEASE DO NOT BRING FOOD/PLATES FOR SHARING JUST BRING WHAT YOU WANT FOR YOURSELF 7. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEIT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE ALL FOLLOW THESE CONDITIONS AS WE MAY WELL BE VISITED BY A HEALTH OFFICER AT ANY TIME.
