04.01.2022 We are delighted to announce that Aquatic Physiotherapy ( Hydrotherapy) has now recommenced at Sunbury Physiotherapy! We have 2 sessions on Wednesday at 3pm and Friday at 12.15pm. These have been very popular in the past and spots are booking up fast. You don't need a referral from your doctor but just to phone us and book an Aquatic Assessment with Physiotherapist Michelle Tanner. If you are unsure of your suitability speak to us or your Doctor first. An individualised progr...am will be organised for you specific to your problems. Aquatic physiotherapy is useful for a range of different problems such as osteoarthritis. rheumatoid arthritis, post hip and knee replacements. post upper and lower limb fractures, soft tissue sprains and strains of all kinds and surgeries such as ACL and meniscal repairs and shoulder rotator cuff surgeries. This is to name a few. The buoyancy, warmth and specific water properties make it an invaluable part of your rehabilitation. And last but not least it is a fun and enjoyable experience!

03.01.2022 One of our physios - Chris Swinburne is a bit injured at the moment - So what can a physio with injured wrists do? Physiotherapists are human and do sustain injuries, just like anyone else. This is probably a good thing! It reminds us what it is like to experience treatment as a patient, the frustrations of not being able to do things, and the difficulties of prioritising time to take care of ourselves. Luckily there are a lot of treatments that physiotherapy can provide ot...her than massage and other hands-on treatment! Some of the most important things that a physiotherapist provides are diagnostic skills, advice, fitting braces/splints, health coaching and exercise-based rehabilitation. While hands-on treatment can be helpful for decreasing symptoms in the short-term, these other active approaches have been shown in almost every condition that we treat to be the most effective treatment options available. Meanwhile Chis is "walking the walk" and diligently participating in his rehab programme See more
