16.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Sunbury is 47 Years Old tomorrow the 10th of April. We have been proud to serve the community over that time. Keep safe and all the best from our members.

16.01.2022 And the baton is exchanged! New President of the Rotary Club of Sunbury, Fred Reinking accepted the baton from our magnificent 2019-20 Rotary Club of Sunbury President last night, Janine. Fred and Janine are well known around Sunbury and the club is surely in the safe hands of President Fred for the coming year. COVID-19 is a challenge for us all but despite that our Club in the last 12 months raised enough money to once again: * donate a neo- natal bed to the Butterfly ...ward of the Royal Children's Hospital ($7500), *give out scholarships to the Dux of each of Sunbury College, Sunbury Downs and Salesian College. * Fred and Janine maintained our Club's international commitments too, with our President and President Elect attending the opening of a computer room (funded in the main by rotary Donations from our Club and others) at the PTD Battambang School in Cambodia, purchasing school kits for children who would otherwise not be able to go to school (Kits for hope) and birthing packs for new mothers in the local hospital. * Back at home when the virus hit we took to our network and over 1400 sewers across Australia started sewing scrub caps for our hospital heroes. More than 16000, caps have been distributed to date and we got just got another request to kit out the nurses who are going door to door with more caps and RCH just called for some more scrub bags (Hospital staff) can put their scrubs in as they leave their shift and throw the lot in the washing machine when they come home. * We raised and donated much needed monies to the Rotary District Bushfire Appeal, paid for and sent 2 young people to the Rotary Youth leadership Awards week of onsite leadership training; paid the course fees for a past RYLArian doing it tough, recognised 3 outstanding Sunbury Police Officers with vocational awards. Take a good look at the people in this photo they are Sunbury people of action. Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. COME and JOIN US and be a part of this wonderful club! Membership enquiries can be directed to our new Membership Director, @Janelle Walters or visit our website and complete an online expression of interest to join our Club. https://www.rotaryclubsunbury.org.au/expressInterestJoin_fo
