05.01.2022 Today I'm announcing an unprecedented $797 million fairness and affordability package to help Victorians cover the cost of their power bills, get the benefits o...f solar and make their homes more energy efficient. This is the largest household energy efficiency package of any state - ever. Spending more time at home this year has meant bigger power bills for many households. That’s why we’re giving households a one-off $250 payment for concession card holders, to pay their energy bills. We’re also investing $335 million to replace old wood, electric or gas fired heaters with energy efficient systems that will save 250,000 households between $300-$900 a year on energy bills. While also creating 900 jobs. We’re investing $112 million to improve energy efficiency at social housing properties. We’re creating minimum standards on rental properties, so renters don’t have to put up with appliances that are inefficient and hike their bills up. AND we’re expanding the Solar Homes program so every single household can apply for a battery, and more households than ever before can get solar panels on their roof.

01.01.2022 A celebration of light over darkness Diwali is the biggest event of the year. While we may need to celebrate differently, there has never been a more importan...t time to celebrate the good. This year, it’s safest to celebrate outdoors. Remember, there are restrictions on outdoor gatherings and the number of people allowed in your home. Victoria - enjoy Diwali, you deserve it. But please remember to stay safe Find out more at coronavirus.vic.gov.au/language
