22.01.2022 As this momentous year comes to an end, I would like to thank all of you who have stayed with me on this journey through 2020. Between relocation and COVID, big changes to Sundala Health and pretty much everything else going on in the world, I am glad you have stayed with Sundala. I appreciate your support and good wishes. This festive season, I am closing up for two weeks and getting some much-needed rest.... We are closed from 25th December until 7th January 2021 During the time that Sundala is closed: You will still be able to order items from our online store here: sundalahealth.com.au. I will be popping in to work most days to pack and ship online orders and make sure everything is still running smoothly. I will still be available via email and mobile phone; please let me know if you require anything urgently. You can book your naturopathic consultation through our website, click on the ‘book an appointment’ button. Back to normal hours from Friday 8th January 2021 I look forward to seeing you in the New Year; refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to take on 2021! X Leonie

21.01.2022 Let this be part of your stress reduction strategy for this weekend. .... 17%!

20.01.2022 Quick & Easy Christmas Snowball Recipe Merry Christmas! For some, this time of the year can be the only time to meet up with family and actually connect with loved ones. This usually means food, and lots of it and someone has to do all of the food preparation.... Preparing food for hungry family members at Christmas time can be rewarding, but also time-consuming. These tasty, healthy and simple little balls will be a hit with your family. They won’t even realise how quick they are to make. Spending less time in the kitchen means that you have so much more time to spend with family and friends. This recipe makes approximately 12 Christmas Snowballs. I love the sweet, zesty freshness of these Christmas Snowballs; the uplifting lemony aroma is a welcome treat. Ingredients 1 cup of ground nuts or nut meal (almonds, macadamias, cashews or Brazil) 1 cup of desiccated coconut* Zest of 2 whole lemons Juice of half to one whole lemon 1 tablespoon of coconut oil 1 tablespoon of honey ( or maple syrup, agave or rice malt syrup) 1 splash of vanilla essence (optional) A pinch of salt *plus a little more if you want to coat your balls, for extra snowy balls Method Mix all of the ingredients in a big bowl. Roll into balls by hand; use a tablespoon as a measure to get uniform sizing. Try your best to not eat any of the mix straight out of the bowl. Refrigerate your balls overnight, for at least a few hours so that they firm up. Relax and enjoy your Christmas. See more

20.01.2022 Are you taking too many supplements? Yeah. It’s easy to get caught up in a whirlwind of consumerism and consumption. There are so many supplements, pills and potions herbal, nutritional and other and many of us are searching for that perfect, magic pill to cure all of our ailments. ... I hate to burst your bubble, but there isn’t one. When your supplement regime has reached capacity, and you can’t remember why you are taking a supplement Then it’s time to consolidate your supplements. I started offering this Supplement Consolidation service when I noticed many of my new clients had been practitioner-hopping, going from one service to the next, trying to find the right combination of pills and remedies or just self-prescribing from the numerous choices available in stores and online. I recommend this service for those using ten or more supplements. With this service, you will receive a comprehensive supplement consolidation review and a 60-minute appointment to discuss your supplements. The link below takes you directly to this service where you can book your appointment: https://www.sundalahealth.com.au//products/supplement-cons Once we have done a good supplement declutter, I suggest that we follow through with some additional naturopathic support, with the aim to ground you with your nutritional and supplemental needs and work towards better health choices for the future. **Please note, this service is for natural medicines, herbal and nutritional medicines only, NOT for pharmaceutical or prescription medicines. X Leonie

19.01.2022 It's interesting: We tend to overestimate what we can achieve in a day but underestimate what we can achieve in a year.

19.01.2022 As Martha leaned in to quietly make her request, I knew immediately what she was experiencing. Like so many women I see in clinic, Martha was struggling with daily dryness and discomfort. For so many years, when I was asked: Do you have anything from my dryness? I would gingerly reply with maybe some coconut oil will help, but in all honesty I didn’t know how I could help Martha. For many women, once they step into perimenopause and beyond, dropping oestrogen levels can t...ake its toll on the body and skin elasticity can decline. Conventional treatments might include pessaries or silicone based lubricants, but from my experience, these may have little if any use for some women. Unable to find a suitable product for these common symptoms, I began working on a formulation, designed for daily use. I wanted something that not only smelled divine, but something you could keep on your bedside table or next to your skincare products. It had to be nurturing, it had to be luxurious and above all, it had to feel incredible. After several years of research and experimentation, my Herbal Yoni Oil was developed with Martha in mind. Inspired healing through Mother Nature, my Herbal Yoni Oil contains only natural, plant based ingredients to soothe irritation and dryness and encourage connection and intimacy with your lover. Are you Martha? Find out more about Sundala Herbal Yoni Oil here: https://www.sundalahealth.com.au//sundala-health-herbal-yo

18.01.2022 Are you ready? Nah, me neither. LOL. I don’t think you can ever be ready. ... You have to step in, step up and give it a go. We will be closed for two weeks over the Christmas holidays (no I’m not ready, but I’m going to have a great time anyway). Thank you for following Sundala, sharing your highs and lows, allowing me to be part of your life journey, it’s been a real honour and pleasure. X Leonie Ps. Sundala Health store is open today until 6 pm, for all of your last-minute gift ideas. All of our stuff is hand made in Lismore, in small batches. Our products are entirely plant-based, comprised of pure essential oils, herbal extracts and plant resins. Experience Sundala signature range of products in our boutique store in Star Court Arcade, Lismore, NSW or you can buy direct from our online store here, even in your pyjamas, over the festive season when our store is closed (yes, we’re still operating online through our break): https://www.sundalahealth.com.au/

Everything from product design, labelling, formulation, scheduling, cleaning and social media are all done by one person me. Like you, I work hard at my job, and I am passionate about my work. ... If you have bought one of my products or had an appointment at the Sundala naturopathic clinic this year, I would love your honest and open feedback. There is a section at the bottom of each product listing (you might need to scroll down). Click on ‘write a review’ and away you go. The second way is a google review, and this is the link that takes you straight to the page for a google review of Sundala Health: https://g.page/sundalahealth/review?gm What better way to spend Boxing Day holiday? Seriously, I appreciate your time, support and feedback, and it helps me make improvements to my products and services and continue supporting your health and well being. Thank you X Leonie

17.01.2022 Why are the simplest decisions the most challenging? I'll be packaging all of our aromatherapy and botanical perfume roll-on blends in cardboard boxes in the next few weeks. What do you think: white or brown?

16.01.2022 You know those people that are really easy to buy gifts for? It doesn’t require too much thought, it just feels good and right. Finding the perfect gift for a loved one always does, doesn’t it? But there is always going to be that one person who is just too difficult to buy for. You just can’t find something that they would really want, something that feels right.... And then you think gift certificate, I wonder if Sundala Health has some. Yes, yes we do. Our local, in store gift certificates can be made for any value (like the one shown in the photo). They are valid for three years from purchase and the receiver can use it in our store to purchase some of our lovely hand made products or for a consultation or remedies from our herbal dispensary. You can also purchase a gift certificate from our online store. These work a little bit differently to the physical ones in our store in Lismore. Our online gift certificates are emailed, with a special code that you enter when you reach the checkout. It’s a little less romantic than gifting an actual card, but hey, it does the trick. Feeling inspired? You can purchase one of our online gift certificates here: https://www.sundalahealth.com.au/products/gift-certificate

16.01.2022 Time for a declutter? With 2021, still fresh and new, now is an excellent time to start working on improving your health. For many of us, 'stuff' can build up in our lives, material possessions we don't love anymore and gadgets we no longer use can start to overwhelm our sense of spatial serenity.... Surprisingly, this physical clutter in our lives can influence our health (and vice versa). Taking the first step towards making changes and decluttering your life can take some courage. But once you begin this journey, you realise that although it is an ongoing process, it also comes with many rewards. I began this journey of decluttering my own life a few years ago and discovered several health benefits to this process. If you are interested in understanding some of the health benefits of decluttering your life, read on here: https://www.sundalahealth.com.au//the-health-benefits-of-d If you are ready to take it one step further and dig deeper into improving your health, book in for a Naturopathic appointment with me at Sundala Health clinic here: https://www.sundalahealth.com.au/collections/services I offer face-to-face appointments in Lismore, as well as online video consultations via Zoom. 15.01.2022 How to Help a Loved One Who is Struggling with Their Health Things can get pretty messy this time of the year. Catching up with family and friends can be a real eye-opener. Discovering that someone you love and care for is struggling with their health, going through grief, sadness or loss, or simply not able to cope with things can be heart-breaking.... You can rack your brain, trying to figure out how to help them, something that you can’t get out of your mind. I know, I’ve been there too. It’s always hard when a loved one is struggling with their health. How do you help? Not just something that I have personal experience with, I find many of my clients in this predicament too. This article is written, not from a Naturopathic professional perspective, but my own experience. It is one of the simplest ways to help a loved one who is struggling with their health, and when you master this, things can start to click into place. I wrote this in the hope that someone can benefit from my experience. The link below takes you to the article: https://www.sundalahealth.com.au//how-to-help-a-loved-one- X Leonie

15.01.2022 So, it’s 2021, what now? I’ve never really been one for New Year’s resolutions; they always seem to crash and burn pretty quickly. But I have been working on my goal-setting skills in the last few years, though, and I know more about what I want in life than ever. ... When you get clearer on what you want, you don’t need a new year, a new month or a planetary alignment to better yourself. You know your destination (but don’t necessarily know how you will get there) and your grit and momentum allows you to continually work in that direction. That’s where I’m going. Do you need help moving forward in your life, working towards a better, healthier version of you? Book in for an appointment with me at Sundala Health clinic here: https://www.sundalahealth.com.au/collections/services We offer face-to-face appointments in Lismore, as well as online video consultations via Zoom. 09.01.2022 Hello Gorgeous!

08.01.2022 So long Kosmea, and thanks for all the creams! . Unfortunately, all good things must eventually come to an end and it is time for Sundala and Kosmea to breakup. . Currently, we have all Kosmea products marked down to 30% off RRP* and once stock is sold, there will be no more Kosmea products at Sundala Health! ... . I have included a link directly to the Kosmea products on our website below. The 30% discount has already been applied. You can buy online and we can post to you (or you can pickup in store), or you can pop in to our store in Lismore to see what we have left. . So, why are we moving on from Kosmea products? In all honesty, I had hoped that I could keep Kosmea as a complement to the #sundalahealth product range. However, it seems that my enthusiasm for the Kosmea products is not shared with many others. . Please note the remaining stock is being sold at wholesale price*, please do not ask (or wait) for additional discounts. Once stock is sold out, it will be removed from the website. No holds. No refunds. . tinyurl.com/yxmn86wt . X Leonie . . Photo by Karolina Grabowska from Pexels See more

05.01.2022 Are you one of those people who react to other people’s perfumes? Ahuh, me too. I can get all sneezy when I am near anyone with strong perfume. But a few years back, I tried to find a natural perfume for myself, with a depth of fragrance that you can get with commercial perfumes.... I couldn’t find one. So I decided to learn how to make natural perfumes myself. This photo shows the first natural perfume formulation that I made, and it's still one of my favourites: Ambrosia, the nectar of the Gods. Our natural perfumes and Sundala signature range of products are made in small batches, with entirely plant-based ingredients, comprised of pure essential oils, herbal extracts and plant resins. Their unique design is such that they are natural, powerful and simply, indulgent for the senses. They are formulated by our Herbalist and Naturopath, Leonie with inspiration from Mother Nature. 02.01.2022 My end-of-year challenge to you: is to write down everything that you achieved this year, everything, I mean everything. It’s easy to forget our achievements, especially when you focus on the next thing. When you take the time to notice the good things, when you acknowledge all of your wins through the year, it can be pretty surprising to find out that you have done more than you thought.... So, for this challenge, please go through every little detail, every boundary set, every time you said no (when you previously would have yielded and said yes), every time you made a life choice (no matter how small) that was healthy, expansive and invigorating. Write down the little things that you achieved that no one else knows about, like that time you ate an apple instead of cake, or that time that you completed your gym workout even though you were feeling down. Your achievements, big and small, will be the fire to set your new year alight. Knowing that, even in difficult times, even in lockdown, even with illness or loss and uncertainty, you can still achieve, you can still do good. This is a simple and inspiring way to re-focus your attention on the positive things in your life. I’m not suggesting that you ignore all of the bad stuff (that needs acknowledgement too), but when you focus on the good things, you are giving these moments more power in your life and the more positive power you have, the more you can work towards the good, the better, the best things in your life. Let me know how you do; I would love to know how many you can manage to find. 50? 100? Maybe more? Need some guidance with working towards a healthier, more positive version of you? Book yourself in for an appointment with me at Sundala Health clinic here: https://www.sundalahealth.com.au/collections/services We offer face-to-face appointments in Lismore, as well as online video consultations via Zoom. 2021, here we come! X Leonie

01.01.2022 Stepping outside of your comfort zone can be pretty scary. This year I have been challenging myself (and my clients) more and more to dip the toes, ever so gently, into that which is feared most the unfamiliar. We all tend to put off the hard things (especially when it comes to our health), thinking that something might go wrong, someone might think we are silly or we just might not be good enough. Creating change can be quite a process, and doing it alone is even harder.... As a practitioner, I have learned that my role is often that of a guide, to help others to achieve their goals, be it health, relationships or life in general. We are all here to learn and grow and having someone to support you with your challenges can accelerate the process greatly. Are you ready to step out of your comfort zone and move forward with your health goals? Book in for an appointment with me at Sundala Health clinic. We offer face-to-face appointments in Lismore, as well as online video consultations via Zoom. X Leonie p.s. This year, one of my big steps outside of my comfort zone was to finally get some professional photographs of myself and my business the photo shown here is one from a photo shoot from October.
