21.01.2022 For many years we have been supported by TuffRock Australia supplying our horses with a range of top quality products to help our horses inside and out. Each year we start our new born foals on TuffRock Foal Plus when they are 24hrs old. Foal Plus is an all natural energized volcanic liquid that supports normal bowel function during critical growth phases.... Not only does it help their digestive tract during rapid growth but also helps keep their tummy healthy and prevents scouring when their mum’s come back into season. And the foals all LOVE it! Once they work out how the accept the syringe into their mouths we have no trouble administering it. Baby Rio loves his Foal Plus so much he comes running and at just 7 days old does not even need holding to slurp down his daily dose Team TuffRock http://www.tuffrock.net/

21.01.2022 SUNDALE SICARIO (pend) having his first run in the paddock with his mum Allidina. He was pretty happy to be able to stretch his long legs properly cantering around for a full 5 min ‘Rio’ has been having his TuffRock Australia Foal + since he was 1 day old which will help him develop correctly in his early days and also help protect his tummy as Ali comes back into season. ... 17.01.2022 An afternoon of mowing means we can actually see the jumps and poles in the arena again!! We have an abundance of feed this year, the horses are all a little fat and certainly can’t keep up with eating it all down at the moment

17.01.2022 We said goodbye to Sundale Sierra today as he headed off to his new home. He and Tylah greeted us the normal way when we went to bring them in, no matter what time of the day this is how they meet us Tyson walked straight into his new float without a second thought and headed off without fuss. ... As much as we will miss his beautiful face we wish his new owner the best of lucky with him and can’t wait to follow his progress over the years to come.

16.01.2022 Happy, fat mares making the most of all the lush feed this year And Snip in his element working the the paddock between them all.

15.01.2022 Early this morning we welcomed to the world an amazing Arabian Stockhorse colt SUNDALE SICARIO (pend) Sired by SUNDALE SAHARA (Pembrooke Park Marquiss x Sundale Shivanah +S) out of our TB mare Allidina (x Bletchley Park). He is a spitting image of his older full brother SUNDALE SNIPER just with even less white!... We can’t wait to see him un-scrunched in a few days

14.01.2022 SUNDALE SNIPPETS (Pembrooke Park Marquiss x Gordon Park Evening) Snip made his debut under saddle yesterday at Gidgegannup Dressage and as much as his test didn’t quite go to plan there was so much to be happy about.... He warmed up amongst other horses for the first time and although he was a little nervous to start with, begin to relaxed and started to work well. His test started off super for his very first time in the competition arena. A nice centreline, circle and diagonal and the it steadily went down hill as he started to get over whelmed and forgot some vital pieces of his training to date, things like bending, straightness and going forward They all have to start somewhere! Sometimes it’s great other times you go back to the drawing board, make new plans and kick on. 14.01.2022 Highbury Endurance Ride The team of Sundale Bellagio (Bellario x Rivlyn Maalee) with Tash and Sundale First Edition (Pembrooke Park Marquiss x Sundale Dhaki Sadeek) with Mel and Jan headed south to the Highbury Endurance Ride run from the Blight’s beautiful property. The weather was perfect as was the course and ground under foot.... Leg 1 was a foggy start but both Joe and Eddie started well and travelled the first 40km beautifully even if they did need some encouragement to stay on Novice time. The boys headed out on leg 2 with the same enthusiasm they finished the first leg with. They travelled the middle 20km much slower than planned due to rider injury but once the pain meds kicked in, they stepped it back up on the last 10km and both vetted through successfully just minutes after crossing the finish line in 6:45hrs. Tash and Joe placed 6th HW. Mel and Eddie placed 5th MW. This was Mel’s 3rd 80km ride and having successful completions in all three, is now a qualified endurance rider. Both boys pulled up super well and have both had a good gallop and play in their paddocks this morning. A massive thank you must go as always to our sponsors Silverback Farms - Producers of Quality Hay for helping our horses be in top condition by keeping us supplied with top quality hay year round. TuffRock Australia helping us keep the whole team healthy inside and out. The boys particularly love their post ride poultice! M Equestrian for helping keep the boys safe and seen in both training and competition.

11.01.2022 Denmark Boat Harbour Endurance Ride Sundale Bellagio (Bellario x Rivlyn Maalee) with Tash and Jan, took on a 6hr road trip to the south coast of WA for the final ride of the season. Warm weather was forecast for the weekend, which made for a beautiful afternoon of relaxing with friends on Friday before a 6am start time on Saturday.... Setting off in warm humid conditions on Leg 1 Joe had his first ride along a beach before heading up the the hills into the nature reserves and Karri trees, making use of the water available at checkpoints allowed Joe to vet through within a few minutes of crossing the line. With Leg 2 being a repeat of the 1st & the temperature rising during the day plenty of time was spent at checkpoints strapping Joe & letting him eat as much as he wanted, before crossing the line in a time of 6:44hrs finishing 3rd HW. As a bonus and unexpected result Joe was also awarded the Best Managed Horse Award. Joe has pulled up fantastic after the long hours of driving & competing this weekend to be galloping around his paddock this afternoon in the rain. Thank you to Lisa, Peter and all their helpers and volunteers for putting this ride on. WAERA for sponsoring the 3rd place trophy & William Bay Bobcat for the sponsorship of Joe’s Best Managed Horse Rug. A massive thank you must go as always to our sponsors Silverback Farms - Producers of Quality Hay - who have been flat out this weekend baling and stacking this seasons hay before the rain arrived TuffRock Australia - a long trip like this always benefits when using GI & Poultice M Equestrian - keeping Joe safe & visible when on the roads (or the South Coast Hwy )

09.01.2022 DAITAN VIOLET CRUMBLE (Golden Rock x White Skye Blue) Holly has her second outing at Gidgegannup Dressage Club competing in the Participant Pony Prelim test.... She was super all day continuing with her style of been here, done that before attitude. Nothing fazes her, she just gets on with her job and focuses on what she’s being asked. Comments from the judge included.. ‘almost too forward, needs to be able to contain that power’... She is a little like driving a V8 without finely tuned steering and brakes at the moment but so promising for the future. Holly headed out for the participant classes Sunday and was great in both. Competing in the Prelim 1A and 1C she scored 66.6% and placed 4th in the 1A and 68.214% and 2nd in the 1C. 08.01.2022 The farmland, crops and fog created an amazing backdrop at the Highbury Endruance ride last weekend. A couple of great shots of Joe and Tash and Eddie and Mel our on track.

08.01.2022 SUNDALE ARRINGTON (Pembrooke Park Marquiss x Allidina) Harry took on the role of big brother / baby sitter for the ponies yesterday accompanying them to Gidgegannup Dressage Club.... The aim for the day was to have him softer through his back and more rideable during his test but he took his big brother role a little to seriously and was quite distracted in the warm up. After slowly worked through suppling him in the warm up and getting him to focus on his work, he went into his test feeling super, forward and rideable from start to finish. With just one major and costly mistake when he changed leads in a lengthen canter, he scored just over 66% and placed 5th in the Novice class. 05.01.2022 DAITAN VIOLET CRUMBLE (Golden Rock x White Skye Blue) Holly practicing her jumping and having her first run through a simple grid. We think she nailed it and looks super cute doing it

05.01.2022 It’s just over 24 hours until Tash and Mel set off on Joe and Eddie in the 160km WA State Endurance Championships at midnight tomorrow. 02.01.2022 Spring!! The time of year for the smell of freshly mowed grass and paddocks full of lush pasture. Oh... and baby animals

02.01.2022 2020 Pony Dressage Showcase DAITAN VIOLET CRUMBLE (Golden Rock x White Skye Blue) Partbred Arabian / GRP... Holly was a little hot and nervous heading into her first test which resulted in some costly mis-communications but she settled as the test went on to place 3rd on a score of 67.85% in the Participant 1A Her second test was superb! For such a young, green pony she couldn’t have worked any better even if she tried harder, winning the 1B on a massive score of 76.964%. SUNDALE SNIPPETS (Pembrooke Park Marquiss x Gordon Park Evening) Arabian Riding Pony Having just his second outing under saddle, Snip coped super well with the day and improved massively from his first outing 6 weeks ago. He warmed up well but the arena was a little scary for him in the first half of his test which resulted in a few spooks and tension throughout but he started to relax as the test went on and scored 62.4% in the Participant 1A. His second test was much better and with less tension and a little more focus he worked well to score just over 66% in the 1B. Thank you to our class sponsors Horseland Midland and Henley Brook Produce for your generous donation of prizes. With this weekend being the last dressage event for the year it’s back to training and prepare for the 2021 season!! 02.01.2022 2020 WAERA State Championships - Collie WA We headed to Collie this weekend for the WAERA State Championships with SUNDALE BELLAGIO (Bellario (imp GER) x Rivlyn Maalee) and SUNDALE FIRST EDITION (Pembrooke Park Marquiss x Sundale Dhaki Sadeek) competing in the 160km ride. Tash riding Joe and Mel riding Eddie set off under the full moon on a freezing Collie night at midnight. Both horses travelled well in the dark and successfully vetted through within a few minutes of finish...ing the leg. Leg 2 was even colder than the first!! Heading out at 4am, both horses travelled beautifully around the 40km and again went into the vet ring a few minutes after coming off course. Joe vetted through successfully but sadly Eddie was slightly lame and vetted out. Heading out alone, Joe ate up the next 40km, eating and drinking well along the way. He vetted through successfully and spent his rest time eating and drinking everything in sight! Being given the thumbs up by the vets at the compulsory represent Joe set off on 25km leg 4 with ears pricked and wanting to go. He came off the leg looking amazing and after a little strapping vetted through. 5th and final leg was 15km. Joe set off like he was heading out in the first leg... and returned trotting and cantering around the Collie Racetrack 90min later, first horse across the line, in a time of 14hrs 24mins. After a little strapping and some time for Joe to relax, 11mins after finishing he presented for his final vetting and we all nervously waited for the result... HR Trot up Metabolics Final Vet decision Joe, the horse bred for Dressage, was now the WA STATE ENDURANCE CHAMPION Sunday morning the horses were presented to the vets for Best Conditioned, being fully assessed by the vets in hand before being saddled and assessed again. BC workouts are always a highlight with all the spectators cheering every horse and rider on. After his vet assessment, Joe went back into the vet ring looking amazing! Trotting and cantering around happy, relaxed, free moving and forward before showing everyone he was still full of energy by leaving the ring in a spectacular gallop (and earning the maximum 30 points for his gait!!) Joes great display of athleticism saw him be awarded 2020 160km Best Conditioned Heavyweight Horse. Both horses were looking and feeling good when they bounded off the truck at home, burning off some excess energy with a good gallop and play in their paddocks before dinner. Thank you to all our personal sponsors and supporters for helping us keep the horses in A1 condition year round.
