In the midst of this global pandemic, we are facilitating a series of dynamic online articles, events and videos to ensure this important week continues to be highlighted. There will be a special global focus with homelessness expert, Dr Nonie Brennan, joining live from Canada. A progress update will also be given on The Adelaide Z...ero Project and its goal of reaching functional zero street homelessness in the inner city by the end of 2020. 18.01.2022 The Adelaide City Council on Tuesday 12th May decided to commission an independent legal review of Hutt St Centre's compliance with land use regulations. The resolution passed following a push from Deputy Lord Mayor Alexander Hyde and with the support of the 'Team Adelaide majority faction' which Hyde is credited as leading. The decision will incur legal expenses that Hutt St Centre could spend instead on homelessness services. Peter Malinauskas (Opposition leader) said today that the council’s decision was completely inconsistent with any sense of humanity and compassion to those members of our community who are the most vulnerable, at one of the most vulnerable times we’ve experienced in a generation. Yes.
