24.01.2022 There is an old saying in Chinese Medicine, when food fails, prescribe herbs. Food is the first line of defence in Chinese Medicine, so no wonder many herbal prescriptions contain common herbs and spices you can find in your kitchen pantry. However, when food is not enough to correct an imbalance, you can turn to herbal medicinals. @sunday.health I design herbal tonics specifically for your own unique constellation of needs.

19.01.2022 do your supplements and herbal tonics collect dust at the back of your pantry? Compliance and consistency is key to your health resolution, unfortunately, passive diffusion doesn't work just by staring at them! I wish. I tell all patients put them in plain sight on the kitchen counter, top shelf in the fridge, your desk at work. They do work unless you put in the work. That is when you will have the best results x

13.01.2022 Hello dear friends This week I will be creating some little videos on my pregnancy journey so far. Heartburn is probably at the top of my list. Also what is on my bedside table reading list. If you have any other pregnancy you would like to discuss from a Naturopaths perspective comment below x

10.01.2022 Cosy rainy days
10.01.2022 Struggling to make it through your day? Does this scenario sound familiar? You can barely wake up in the morning, your groggy and need coffee or something sugary to get going. Then you need more of the same later in the day to keep going. Your brain feels foggy; you’re not sleeping well; your body aches all over; your cold never goes away, and your sex drive is caput. You are running on empty, your energy account is zapped, you are physically, mentally and... emotionally EXHAUSTEDyou are depleted. Interestingly, most women think it is normal to feel like this. I would say fatigue is a top health concern that most of my patients are trying to combat. Getting on top of sleep can be easier said than done in the stimulating world we live in. Here are some causes of fatigue I see in clinic - Nutritional deficiencies - lack of iron, protein & magnesium Low thyroid function Adrenal fatigue Poor sleep hygiene - bright lights, wrong room temp, tv’s & phones in bed & cluttered space Mental load - brain can’t shut down at night Bed mates are disrupting Sleep apnea Tag a very tired woman who may need a good nights sleep See more
10.01.2022 Many moons ago I adopted my a daily gratitude practice, which has helped keep me grounded and resilient through life’s challenges. One thing I am continually grateful for is the support of fellow women in business on my home turf Australia and beyond. Sunday health is my heart and soul and it wouldn’t be possible without the support and encouragement from other AMAZING women. Over the weekend I attended #NatEX2020 Naturopathic Summit and felt so inspired by women in leadershi...p and mentor roles. Promoting female leadership has a ripple effect that improves the lives of women, families, and the global community. A quote from one of my favourite female leaders - If you want to lift humanity, empower women. It is the most comprehensive, pervasive, high-leverage investment you can make in human beings. Melinda Gates A shout out and Thank you to those incredible women have helped and inspired me along the way
09.01.2022 End of 2020 exhaustion... don’t compare yourself to other people’s 2020 achievements... some people thrived and others like myself felt like I just survived !

05.01.2022 ‘Sleep hygiene’ means habits that help you have a good night’s sleep. Sleep hygiene means having both a bedroom environment and daily routines that promote consistent, uninterrupted sleep. Keeping a stable sleep schedule, making your bedroom comfortable and free of disruptions, clutter, following a relaxing pre-bed routine, and building healthy habits during the day can all contribute to ideal sleep hygiene. Good sleep hygiene sets the st...age for a restful night when your body heals and restores itself. Getting quality sleep is important for your health: it strengthens your immune system, helps you maintain a healthy weight, and lowers your risk for serious health conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. Good sleep can improve your mood and even your memory. While you sleep, your brain forms new pathways to help you remember information. 1. Set a consistent sleep schedule 2. Create a relaxing bedtime/pre-bedtime routine 3. Keep your room cool and comfortable 4. Dim the lights after dark 5. Unplug devices an hour before bed 6. Steer clear of stimulants after noon 7. Ban the booze 9. Get regular exercise 10. Crest a cosy nocturnal sanctuary See more
05.01.2022 How to reset for those WFM
01.01.2022 Following on from my compliance is key post! Please don't take every single medication, supplement, superfood, herbal tonic, smoothie etc. at once unless prescribed by your health or medical practitioner. More often than not, vitamins, minerals, herbs and medications are antagonists or agonists, meaning they compete for the same site in the body and disrupt absorption. A perfect example of this is having your morning tea or coffee with an iron supplement - the tannins in caffeine block your supplements iron absorption, not great for my low iron ladies. I always have a schedule for my prescriptions, so you get the best absorption and value from your prescribed dose x
01.01.2022 It’s okay to rest x
