25.01.2022 Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! Conditions below the water we’re great but, above the water... not so great. A lucky few went out on the first and only dive of the day and Andrew was one of them! Thanks for sharing Andrew!

23.01.2022 Grey nurse sharks are amazing animals and hunters from before birth. Did you know that during gestation they demonstrate cannibalism? This reproductive process is known as adelphophagy and takes survival of the fittest to the extreme! The gestation of the grey nurse shark takes 9-12 months, and they are born at approximately 1m in length. While inside the egg case and the uterus the young eat other ova and, when big enough, they even hunt and eat other embryos. Though this re...productive strategy may sound shocking to us, this results in two (one from each uterus) robust and capable offspring, and these young are born ready to hunt and survive! Julian Rocks is a known aggregation site for the grey nurse shark and the Rocks have been protected under the Cape Byron Marine Park since 2002. The grey nurse usually moves away from the Rocks as the summer approaches and the water starts to warm. If you would like to experience these beautiful animals in the wild, then now is the time!
