21.01.2022 The SunFest Committee is regretful to announce that SunFest 2021 is unable to proceed due to the demanding Covid-19 safety restrictions and limited time, resources, and funding. Ordinarily the SunFest Volunteer Committee commences planning for the coming year’s event in May of the year prior. However due to the uncertainty of 2020, we have been unable to commence this extensive planning. The Sunfest Committee is extremely disappointed at this decision that we have been forced... to make as we understand the devastating impact COVID-19 and lockdown restrictions has had on the Sunbury community and local businesses. The SunFest Committee is committed to planning the best SunFest 2022 featuring SunFest’s iconic events including SunFest’s Grand Street Parade, Torchlight Parade, Color Run, Battle of the School Choirs, Sunbury’s got Talent, Sunbury Can Dance, SunFest Soundwave and Fireworks. SunFest President Shona Davie states After such a tough 2020, SunFest’s volunteer Committee is devastated that we are unable to hold a SunFest in 2021. However, we are determined to make SunFest 2022 - our 44th Sunbury Community Festival - the best ever. We wish to celebrate the strength, resilience, and spirit of our community. (SunFest), will be held on Monday, 17th August 2020 at 7.00 pm via ZOOM Meeting. BUSINESS OF THE MEETING... (a) to confirm the minutes of the previous annual general meeting; (b) to receive from the committee reports; (c) to receive and endorsed the financial statements; and (d) to elect officers of the Association and the ordinary members of the committee. He is a former president of SunFest as well as a member of SES Sunbury Unit, Sunbury Blue Light Disco and Sunbury Scouts. Thank you for giving so much to our community Jarrod!
