12.01.2022 || Happy New Year || What a wild ride 2020 was to start the decade, full of crushing collective loss (thinking of the bushfires still breaks my heart) and social chaos (I am looking at you pandemic), there was also plenty of grit, perseverance and determination and for me a lot of joy in realising a dream. So many words will forever be used to describe this year. But for me, my word is love. My love for creativity and for helping people (and for hard work!) accumulated in the... opening of the Sunflower and Ivy studio. A little hub of art therapy and creative soul. Some days I still pinch myself it is real. Love also gets me through my dark days, just like everyone else this year (and most years) I have had my fair share of shadows. Love carries me by my heart and whispers that we can always make a difference - love is all you need . I have no idea what 2021 holds but as we climb into the roller-coaster cart, I am hoping for lots of art, new studio attendees and lots of love. The world is ready for it. // photo from the day I finished pulling up disintegrating 80s carpet from the studio See more

10.01.2022 With the new years dust settling, its time to look ahead at the year! eep just kidding- who else finds the whole year laid out ahead a little unnerving? I am all for chunks at a time . Regardless if your a day, week, month or year kind of person: making a vision board is the perfect way to dream, reflect and set some intentions. A vision board is a large collage of images and words that portray your values, capture your heart or speaks to you. And i am going to take you right through how to make one whilst you enjoy some yummy refreshments. This workshop is our first one adults for the year, happening Saturday the 16th January at 3pm. Tickets are 30$ and bookings can be made online/through the link in my bio.

09.01.2022 Well, Perth has certainly kicked into Summer. How do you stay cool in this crazy weather ? Aside from eating icey-poles daily, i have some creative art activities in the January newsletter that are fun and cool (literally). It will be sent out this Saturday, if your not on our e-mail list, you can sign up on the website.

04.01.2022 One of my adult-to-self promises is to research things i take for granted and "know" without understanding. I decided to look up the 12 days of Christmas and have learnt many interesting things about religion and christmas festivity. Traditionally small and humble gifts were given and made on each day, starting on the 25th and ending on the 5th when decorations and festivities were taken down. This year i am going to make my own list of 12 things to create. You can join me, o...r make your own list. 1. Create something edible 2. Create a love note 3. Craft from recycling 4. Try a new creative activity 5. Craft a random act of kindness 6. Swap some creativity 7. Make a decoration 8. Create a dream on paper 9. Craft with courage 10. Uncover a creative memory 11. Craft time over screen time 12. Finish a creative project See more
