20.01.2022 Sunshine Coast Big 10 challenge 1st July 2020 - 30th June 2021 Yearly comp that can be entered by Sunny Coast Club members. You must also be a current AUF member. ... The heaviest fish of each species gets 10 points, second heaviest 9 points, third heaviest 8 points and so on. Competitors are able to submit only 2 of each species for the duration of this comp, allowing competitors to upsize any catches once. Sunny Coast Big 10 Challenge 1. Mackerel 2. Kingfish or Amberjack 3. Crayfish 4. Trevally 5. Bream or Snapper 6. Whiting 7. Emperor or grassy sweetlip 8. Parrotfish or Tuskie 9. Coral Trout 10. Mangrove Jack Fish must be taken in Qld waters and still adhere to Qld fisheries laws. ALL FISH MUST BE ABOVE QLD FISHERIES MINIMUM SIZES. Fish must be submitted within 30 days of capture. Late submissions WILL NOT be accepted. Maximum 2 of each species to be submitted. Fish must be photographed clearly on a brag mat or tape measure with your phone showing the date. See Figure 1. Lucky Door Prize donated by Geoff Gannon - See picture. 1st, 2nd, 3rd places will get perpetual handmade coral trophies. Now go get the big dogs!!!
19.01.2022 Some great fish and bugs entered into the yearly top 10 competition courtesy of local legends Ben Thomson, Jordan Whittaker and Kenan Chan. The graphic tuskfish was not an entry but such an awesome shot I had to include it.
