18.01.2022 We are having a beautiful weekend here in the Macedon Ranges, with so many events on in the area, it is great to see. Hello sunshine

17.01.2022 Although the weather is turning colder, the display of autumn leaves & the warmth of the fire, makes up for the outside temperature. We hope the dawn service on Anzac day, up at the cross on Mount Macedon displays a smidge of kindness to the many that attend.

16.01.2022 A busy time of the year in the Macedon Ranges for many things social. The Macedon Ranges Wine & Food Festival is operating this weekend (14-15th November). Crafts Alive is on at Hanging Rock on the 15th November, along with the Woodend Craft Market. It is the last weekend for the participating Open Studios of Artists in the area. The garden is open at Flint Hill in Woodend.... Big decisions, do I try them all! See more

14.01.2022 We have found an interesting activity to do near to the cottage, even within walking distance - Hanging Rock Llama Treks. A novel experience, walk your picnic lunch to Hanging Rock, in the saddle bags of the Llama's, or simply take them for a walk.

14.01.2022 For all the gardeners out there, Bolobek in Macedon is open for the Garden Lovers Fair on the 17th & 18th September.

05.01.2022 The Easter Art Market is coming up, The Woodend Art Group is again offering a wonderful collection of art over the four days of Easter. Situated adjacent to the Woodend Railway Station, there will be two rooms full of framed & unframed paintings & many other forms of art. Entry is a gold coin donation & it is open 10am - 4pm daily. It is well worth the effort. In the cottage we display work created by local artists.

04.01.2022 The weather has turned chilly in the Macedon Ranges & our wood fire is always a welcoming sight for our guests on their arrival, such a cosy, comforting feeling to snuggle up by the fire. A glass of wine & a choice of DVD from our selection, to watch in comfort.

04.01.2022 We have returned from an re-energizing trip to Spain, Morocco & England to tackle what winter brings. The Cottage is again open for guests to enjoy the cosiness of the log fire on a frosty winters day - the best way to enjoy the winters chill. An all-singing, all-dancing, theatrical sensation that invites you to take a breathtaking journey through the magical world of musicals. 31st July THE LOST WWI DIARIES OF PADDY CALLINAN at 8.30pm Comedian Damian Callian has been obssesed from a young age about all things Anzac, he routinely visits regional was memorials in search of diggers bearing his name. One day he finds an old WW1 diary of Paddy Callinan in a Warrnambool op shop. Is Paddy the mysterious digger his family never speak of?
