01.01.2022 VISITATION UPDATE - FROM 28 SEPTEMBER 2020 The Victorian Care Facility Directions (No 12) have been updated to reflect some changes announced by the Victorian Premier on Sunday. The Directions now state that: Residents are limited to 1 visitor once per day for a maximum of 2 hours (due to screening requirements and time restraints at Sunnyside, visiting will be for a 1 hour period, once per week, as per the booking schedule).... Where a resident needs physical support (eg help with feeding) or emotional support (eg for cognitive decline) they may have 1 visitor at a time but there is no limitation on duration. If a resident is planning to move to home care they may have 1 visitor. For end of life (defined as expected within next 14 days) they may have 2 visitors at any one time (note - it is the 14 days that counts, not the degenerative condition leading to end of life). Please note at Sunnyside: Two people may continue to visit for 'over the fence' Due to room visits being limited to 1 visitor, we are able to have a concurrent 'messenger' visit with additional family members , if required Visitors from Metropolitan Melbourne OR any Local Government Areas with active COVID cases of 5 or above do not meet the screening criteria and therefore cannot come onsite.
