25.01.2022 Today saw the last day of the Rhonda Lang Memorial Ricochet Doubles, played in remarkably good spirit given that it was hosing down at times!! It looked like ev...eryone had a great time in spite of the weather, and I've added photos of the prizegiving simply because I was there when it happened! There was a notable omission in the playing order with Joy Fitzgerald having died 2 weeks ago; RIP, Joy!

24.01.2022 Sunnyside Croquet Club thanks the Bundaberg Regional Council for the grant of more than $3000 that the club received through the COVID - 19 Community Sport Support Program. This grant has assisted the club to pay for costs incurred during 2020 for maintaining greens, council charges and insurance. On 12th December, the AGM will be held and awards will be presented to successful players in the Club Championships.

24.01.2022 At the AGM in December 2020 Club members received awards for their play in 2020. Caroline Lines and Anne Haworth were winners of Golf Doubles. In Singles Golf Margie Rudd won Div 3 and Darryl Bell won Div 2. The Association Doubles was won by Brian Walsh and Eileen McCann and the Ricochet Doubles was won by Ian Johnson and Darryl Bell. The singles for Association and Ricochet was won by Darryl Bell. The Most Improved Player award donated by patron Janet Tallon for a newer player was presented to Leonie Boreel, The guest of honour at the AGM was Joan Mathiesen from Hervey Bay who is the Regional Representative. to Croquet Qld.

24.01.2022 The Hervey Bay CC have re-instated their annual AC and Ricochet tournament, and as usual, Point Lookout went in mob handed, and I wandered along to take a pic or two, some of which I offer here... captions on most pics...

23.01.2022 The Wide Bay/Burnett Regional Golf Croquet Pennants were held yesterday in Hervey Bay, and I went along for a look! I think 9 games in the day was a bit ambitious, but everyone looked to be having at least a little fun... shame on Bundaberg for not having a team competing!!

20.01.2022 Regional Ricochet Pennants today at Point Lookout; when I left, Point Lookout had 4 wins and 2 losses, Bundaberg and Hervey bay were 3 + 3 and Sunnyside were 2 ...+ 4, so anyones' event to win, really with one round to play! *edit* Point Lookout won their last three games to win the Ricochet Pennant for 2019!!

17.01.2022 Sunnyside Croquet Club in Bundaberg achieved its 80th anniversary today with members past and present celebrating and reminiscing, including 98-year-old Dorothy Collishaw.

14.01.2022 Members who took advantage of a morning with Greg Bury playing golf croquet. After morning tea Greg did a short session explaining Rules of Golf Croquet and then a practical demonstration on the lawn which included a very special segment with Greg demonstrating jump shots.

Although I was unfortunately unable to be there for the celebrations, I donated this lovely fruit try fr...om One Little Farm - flowers and produce as a raffle prize. It's been great to hear the day was a success and a big thank you to the club for sending me through this lovely photo of Margie presenting Bill with his winnings! 13.01.2022 The three day gold medal Australian AC interstate championship held at PLC club was a resounding success! VERY wet on day one and lucky there was any play at a...ll but luckily weather improved daily. 07.01.2022 Sunnyside held their AGM and awards night on Saturday. Pictured here receiving the Wellborne Memorial Trophies are Barbara Noble and Darryl Bell winners of the Golf Croquet doubles and Darryl Bell winner of the Golf Croquet Div 3 singles. The Wellborne Memorial trophies, originally donated in memory of John, now include Chrissy who sadly passed away on the 7th November.

01.01.2022 Sunnyside Croquet Clubs members were very keen to play in a COVID safe way when we returned to play last Saturday. Members only are playing now until Stage 3
