17.01.2022 2020 Merbein & District Community Bank 97.9 Triple M Northern Mallee Sports Star of the Year - Monthly Winner February Shania McKinnon Cricket Shania McKin...non has had a very busy cricket season. Firstly, playing for her home club of Mildura Settlers Cricket Club in both women’s and men’s competition and playing for Kensington Cricket Club in South Australia. Shania was selected to represent South Australia in Australian Country Cricket Championships held in Queensland with her team coming runners-up in the carnival. Shania was rewarded with all her great work by being named in the Australian Country Women’s’ side. Shania was a member of the successful Mildura Settlers Cricket Club women’s team who defeated Nichols Point Gold in the grand final. Shania claimed 4 wickets for 13 runs in the final as wells contributing with the bat and scored 33 runs to be named player of the match. As the February winner Shania received a voucher proudly sponsored by Sportspower and is now eligible for the 2020 Merbein & District Community Bank 97.9 Triple M Northern Mallee Sports Star of the Year Awards to be held on Friday February 13, 2021 at the Club Da Vinci, Mildura Congratulations Shania
