17.01.2022 We are back tomorrow with a few changes! At the end of last term Mrs Sanford took a new job at the NCC and has left St George State School, Mrs Riley also changed roles within the school and is now fulltime in the office this means Playgroup will have a new coordinator! Miss Sarah Wilson has worked at the school as a teacher's aide for 3 years and is SUPER excited to meet all our Playgroupers! Join Mrs Hiles and Miss Wilson from 9AM at the Playgroup hall for our WELCOME BACK week of Playgroup!

08.01.2022 Wow what a wonderful week we had last week at playgroup. We explored different textures through sensory play. Goop had us all fascinated with its unique texture and how it can be both a solid and a liquid. Finding animals in the squishy, sticky pasta and lots of bubble chasing. This Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 we look forward to seeing you for a Halloween themed day. Come dressed in your best Halloween costume and explore the cave, help find some creepy crawlies and travel home with your very own broomstick.

08.01.2022 We had a TEDDY BEARS picnic today at playgroup and even turned Mrs Sanford and Mrs Hiles into bears using some masks!

08.01.2022 Thanks for joining us this week for ASTRONOMY week we had an amazing time creating with you all! Due to COVID issues instead of our excursion next week we have decided to join in with the RIVER OF READING WEEK. So come along dressed up as your favourite character, dress up in our playgroup dress ups or make a mask with us to celebrate all things books!

07.01.2022 Last week was full of dinosaurs. We created our own science experiment to make a volcanic eruption in the dinosaur habitat. Worked on our fine motor skills while excavating for dinosaurs within the sandpit and using brushes to reveal fossils beneath the rice. This term has seemed to go by so quickly we only have three days left of play group for this year. This week Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th we look forward to cooling down with our beach themed water play. So bring your swimmers, towels, floppy hats and sun glasses and enjoy the cool water. Week 9 Wednesday the 2nd December will be our last day of the year as well as our playgroup Christmas Party with SANTA.

Mrs Hiles and Miss Wilson are going to join you in style with our crazy hair to support St George State School chaplaincy. Why not join in the fun with messy hair for your messy play.

Mrs Sanford, Mrs Riley and Mrs Hiles have been planning some awesome activities for this term and are so excited to see you. Due to restrictions we are unable to provide morning tea at this time please feel free to bring along some fruit for your child to have while we share a book!
