21.01.2022 Wise words from a great guru.

08.01.2022 Like wow, folks! What an absolutely splendid autumnal day we've had in Williamstown - and most parts of Melbourne - today. A real Indian Summer. Feels like the universe is blessing us ... in our hour of need. Went for a bike ride this morning to the West Gate Bridge and back. Many others had the same idea ... walking, jogging, cycling, fishing, skateboarding, strolling and dog-walking in groups of two...all keeping a respectful distance apart, ... yet subtly reaching out ...... and often connecting with understanding smiles. Which made me realise how much I'm really enjoying this impromptu, extended retreat. And revelling in the carbon credits we're getting ... and the healing effect on our planet ... of no planes in the sky and fewer cars and trucks on our normally choking freeways. Mother Nature must be breathing a sigh of relief. A few friends have told me they're bored. Why? This is an opportunity to rediscover yourself and do all those things you never had time for. If all else fails, there are plenty of free meditation and yoga classes online and on Zoom. To anyone out there struggling right now...have faith. Faith in yourself and the Universe. As A.G. Mohan says: 'Courage and a Strong Mind are our greatest allies in times of distress'. And I'll add:'Compassion'. Sending you all ...love and light. Namaste. See more

06.01.2022 I'd like to thank a wonderful Gita yoga teacher and friend, Pam Fegen, for filling in for me at Sunrise Yoga sessions on Thursdays from 7am-8am at the Williamst...own Community and Education Centre in Thompson St, and Mondays from 9.30am-10.45am at the Altona Meadows Community Centre in Trafalgar Ave, while I guide Yoga on the Beach sessions here at tropical Port Douglas. The sessions in Williamstown and Altona are low cost community classes. All welcome. Here in beautiful Port Douglas, on the barrier reef, I have the honour and privilege of sharing the gift of yoga with visitors from London and Los Angeles, Boston and Birmingham, Auckland and Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. Four Mile Beach here is one of the best yoga studios in the world ... full of rain forest prana ... and the soothing sounds of the ocean ... to help settle our breath for meditation and inspire us in our asana practice.
