24.01.2022 Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder which is first diagnosed in childhood and often lasts into adulthood. 18.01.2022 Active Support is empowering people with disabilities to participate in every day activities of their choice with the right level of support. It is used alongside Positive Behaviour Support as it helps to decrease challenging behaviours by redirecting an individuals focus on certain tasks. Encouraging individuals to participate in tasks/events improves independence, new skills, builds relationships, promotes choice and helps them to gain control of their own lives. 13.01.2022 Our Premier, Daniel Andrews has revealed Melbournes Roadmap out of stage 4 lockdown. These are the following steps and changes that have been put into place: Step 1 - After 13 September: Curfew changes: 9pm- 5am Exercise and outside gatherings of two people per household permitted, two hours a day.... Playgrounds reopen. People who live alone are able to nominate one person to visit their home. Stay within 5km radius from home. Step 2 - After 28 September (only if there is an average daily case rate of 30 to 50 over a 14-day period): Curfew remains in place. Public gatherings increase up to five people from two households. Staged return to school for Prep to Year 2, VCE/VCAL and specialist schools. Childcare reopens Personal training permitted outdoors. Step 3 After 26 October (only if the daily average is less than 5 cases state-wide and less than 5 cases with an unknown source over 14-day period): Curfew dropped. Outer gatherings increased up to 10. 5 people from nominated household are permitted to visit a home. Potential staged school return for year 3 to 10. Retail (except personal care) and hairdressing reopen, Hospitality reopens for outdoor service. Last step After 23 November (only if there are no new cases state-wide for 14 days): Numbers increase to 50 for outdoor gatherings, weddings and funerals. Home visitors increased to 20. Hospitality reopens for seated services. Contact sports resumes for all ages. Entertainment venues and all retail reopens

Luke Michael a Journalist at Pro Bono News has written an insightful article Governments urged to prioritise Victorians with disability during second COVID wave. The article mentions a joint statement from 16 disability groups requesting for the governments primary focus to be for children and adults with disability during this pandemic. Disability advocates have also urged for a crucial plan to be created by the Victorian Government, Federal Government, and the National Disability Insurance Agency to ensure people with disabilities are not forgotten. 07.01.2022 A new program Call-to-Test has been introduced and will be available for vulnerable Victorians. People who have COVID-19 symptoms and need testing but cannot leave their home due to injury, mobility or eligible reasons will be able to get tested at home. To receive the call-to-test service you will need to phone the coronavirus hotline on 1800 675 398, you will be assessed by a nurse over the phone and will need a GP referral, a tester will then come to your house and test you free of charge.
