25.01.2022 10 photos from today's birding trip :) Photos taken on Bribie Island - One of my favourite birding spots There were so many birds out today in the sunshine it was difficult to capture them all! Today's sightings included Mistletoebirds, Silvereyes, Striated Pardalotes, Scarlet Honeyeaters, Rose-crowned Fruit Doves and Eastern Yellow Robins. Of course it's not a birding trip without our Fairywren friends!! Enjoy ;) ... #sunsandsurfnaturephotography #bribieisland

25.01.2022 I've lived in the Redlands all my life and I'd never seen an Azure kingfisher close to home... until the other day! :D Photos taken at Fellmonger Park - Hillia...rds Creek in Ormiston on Thursday. There were two adult Azures seen in the area between the concrete bridge and the wooden bridge of the park. Amazing to see them here! I knew there were Azures at Hilliard's Creek but figured they'd be further in the swampy, hard to get to places. Nope they are right out in the open! :D They are so small and camouflaged that if you didn't see them move, you would never know they were there. ;) It was only by chance that one fly right past me while we were walking along the creek and that sparked a full afternoon of birding. ;) I love these little gorgeous birds! They are so beautiful. #sunsandsurfnaturephotography
