23.01.2022 Great Days of Golf. Bring back the fun.

22.01.2022 I am going to have a little rent about the sunset strip golf club and the people running the club. 1. there is a rule on the course to rake around the hole 2 meters after finishing the hole no one is doing this. i was accused of being a theft by one member (BK)for not paying my $2 fee to play, The person i was playing with on the day paid for both of us. no one has apologized for that accusation. (BK) I pay my fee of $2 every time i go out for a game i now mark every coin to... show i pay, i blow the horn too show that i am doing so. i pay and i would like the blacks raked as i do after i finish each hole. 2, i have been accused of braking the tops of the holes with the rake, i would like the person to step up and come and see me (DM) i done a shit load of work on this golf course and i would never do anything like that. 3. i had a member of the committee come and see me for a starter motor for the bobcat, that was fine i gave him a starter motor and now i have been told they are not going to pay me for the starter motor $280.plus This is the reply email from SSPA my comments in brackets Hi Barry I tabled your email at the committee meeting today for discussion. The following is a summary of the discussion :- 1 A starter motor was purchased by you from overseas (using my credit card) 2 On receipt it was damaged and replaced at no cost. ( Yes that is true but you only paid for one starter motor you need to take your mind off the other as it never was sold too the SSPA, I me your committee are thefts. 3 You were refunded for the original purchase from SSPA. CBA cheque #0100 on 10/6/2014 for $280.45 ( for one Starter motor not two) 4 The committee are of the opinion that the second starter was always SSPA property. Regards Colin sorry Colin i sold the SSPA one Starter motor not two, the other belonged to me not the SSPA 4, the last time i was at the hall with a friend. that friend got knocked on his ass for no reason that i could see, (PC) 5, the time before the last incident i was at the hall and a member told the people that some one needs to hit at Barry stone in the back of the head (BF) only thing he didn't know i was around the corner . the thing that discuses me at the time is that 13 people sitting around did not say a word too him, don,t worry i had my say, he would never stand up himself. 6, the Mulga golf team came out to play, I was told i was not able to play for sunset strip due to not being a member of the SSPA anymore BUT i was a member of the Mulga team so i said i would play for them, i was then told by the sunset strip captain that if i played for the Mulga the sunset strip team would not play at all. i was sickened by this (DM) See more

20.01.2022 Our Easter Weekend

15.01.2022 MAN,S HEALTH GOLF DAY 10/10/19 we had a fantastic day, beautiful sunny weather with the temp in the 20ts. William Dutton, Roger Wyman and Wayne Holmes won with a score of 41, the Kar,s Station boy came a close second with 42, great game Man, Clint Ferguson had the longest drive with a slammer of 260mtr right behind him was Brendon Cullen with 257mtrs, closest to the pin was Bob Holmes. the NARGA award went to Clint and myself with a score of 47. just look out next year in Wilcannia. I,ll be there to try and better that..lol.. Thank you Owen Wyman for bringing the man over from Wilcannia.. we will see you next year at the Wilcannia golf Club

06.01.2022 Hi everyone Illegal dumping of rubbish on the sunset strip golf course has never been tolerated in the passed and will not be tolerated in the future. I informed a member of the progress association two weeks ago of the dumps on personal green waste being dumped at the back of the fifth (5) tee off area. I had seen nothing being done regarding my complaint. I went out yesterday to fine new tracks and two new dumps of rubbish. the tracks lead back to number 72 lakeview. this p...erson should know better as he sits on the bored for the sunset strip progress association. for me personal I have to take my rubbish weather it be green waste or house hold rubbish to the rubbish tip which is only 1k away. I believe that the person dumping the rubbish should be made to clean up the area and stand down form the progress association as soon as possible. he is not setting a good a standard for the rest of the community. over the years we have had some great local community member put a lot of work into the golf course as its the only community sport here. and to be dumping rubbish on the course spits in the face of all those people that have volunteered there time to keep the course going. The only reason I attended was to see a local person ask for the resignation of the secretary, I was told at sunset strip bar the night before, the person in mind was at the meeting.
