11.01.2022 Happy Australia Day everyone. What a sensational day here on the coast to spend with family and friends and to just celebrate how lucky we are to live here, especially after the year we’ve had. You wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!

03.01.2022 Connecting with local businesses is one of the simplest ways to grow local economies and your local Chamber of Commerce, is a perfect example. There are around 25,000 SMEs on the Sunshine Coast. According to the ABS, 60% have average turnovers under $200,000. So if we simply changed the way we buy local produce, local beer, local marketing (anything) by only 10%, that increases the local economy and income by a staggering $300 million. 20% is $600million. Try and do that any ...other way! But it takes a change. The long term benefit of supporting local has far more value than just a short term cheap price. It grows employment, puts local money back into the local economy by spending with more local businesses, pays local taxes, builds local infrastructure, supports local schools and charities. It's a massive win, win. There are multiple ways to do that. Get out there and meet other local businesses, connect with them, and use some form of local business platform, like Sunshine Coast Business Now. It's free to list your business and setup your micro site. Click the link: https://form.jotform.co/90707302203848 Connect, support and grow local.

01.01.2022 I caught up with Monica at Artea the tea merchant in Caloundra this morning. If your looking for something a little different come in and try her blended teas (no coffee zone here). Lovely under cover patio area and air conditioned inside. Ask about the guided tea tastings starting soon. Monica is open Wednesday to Sunday. Easy off street parking at 121 Bulcock St, Csloundra.
