22.05.2022 Hi all, I've noticed lots of group meet ups on the Sunshine Coast. These groups are a great way to make new friends and have new experiences. However there aren't any small groups dedicated to help those with physical or mental disabilities. Having smaller group meet ups will benefit those that have social anxiety. I've decided to create a page for other support workers to help their clients to become more social and get that social interaction they need. We could get togeth...er in small groups, go out into the community and get our clients to socialize. Could do activities such as bowling, movies, BBQ in the park and etc. This will give our clients the opportunity to build new friendships. Social interaction is crucial for everyone, as it has positive influences on our self-esteem and mental health. I'm hoping that this group will give our clients the opportunity to feel more accepted, help increase their self-esteem and mental health. Also allow our client's to have fun in a safe social setting and great new friendships. Look forward to planning our first meet up!!
