24.01.2022 It's a bit like Google advertising... you can have a legitimate advertisement, but it will be blocked, by a computer program... there is no human involved in the decision. So when you finally contact a Google consultant they CANNOT fix that issue, just tell you ways around it, because they actually don't know WHY it was blocked, either!

21.01.2022 Our apologies if your trying our links and they aren't working. The ISP techs were 'fixing' a problem with mobile apps on a website. The 'fix' stuffed most of the websites/links, that was on the 20th..... they keep saying they 'fixed' it, but they haven't so far!

21.01.2022 All systems are working..... not bad for a dinosaur from BEFORE the computer era! LOL Try explaining that your first computer was an Apple IIE (second hand)..... and you get some strange looks..... but they actually taught you a lot about how computers worked.

21.01.2022 Strange world...... quote for a job, bloke then says no, someone else quoted $70 an hour, and would knock it over in five...... we worked out 3 days to do it properly. Then the bloke who said we were too expensive rang back, and said he'd found a bloke to do it for $50, and he agreed to do it in five hours, same as the other bloke quoted............... Just wanted to tell me we were too expensive again, and see if we would match the quote...... I did say he was welcome to rin...g around!? So I put a line through the quote. Now, he calls me back, and says they didn't do the job right, it went over time, they got spotted, the subject is now wary, but because he's already paid out so much can I do it a bit cheaper? So, he has made the job harder, has paid for 'cheap' but didn't get the results, and now wants us to cut our price ............. did I miss something??? See more

17.01.2022 The world never ceases to surprise. For every bad news story there is a good news story....... it's just that we get to hear more about the bad news stories!!! I do suspect that the problems associated with the newer drugs, such as 'ice' are definitely getting worse. It is getting easier for people to have affairs, with technology now catering to every whim and desire! Relationships are breaking down as pressures increase; the number of people under-employed are increasing!! ... Now, lets look at it a different way: people are finding different ways to interact, and travel (drugs, stolen cars). Social interaction appears to be increasing, as a result of technology (people are going online to arrange affairs). People are enjoying more freedom (they're divorced), and with more leisure time (they are under-employed or unemployed). And the weather is beautiful!! You have to laugh, or you'd cry, sometimes! We hear a lot of sad stories.

12.01.2022 Went up to Hervey Bay, had an interesting criminal defence matter. Expect that Police will offer no evidence. Also suspect there is sufficient to show wrongful arrest, as a civil matter. Good witnesses helps. These matters can be difficult to prove, unless witnesses are willing to be involved, and answer truthfully, when taking an affidavit. Sometimes the best witness is the reluctant one. Sometimes the evidence isn't there, too. When you can show multiple times where action and police reaction aren't in sync, this helps, too.

09.01.2022 Workcover surveillance is always surprising... well, it is surprising how active someone who is laid up can be. Who knew fishing and 4wding were 'recovery' activities for a person who can't walk far, or sit in a chair and answer a phone, without needing to go home again??

04.01.2022 Sometimes the hardest thing to deal with is the clients partner..... they have a different idea of the job you quoted, and the client accepted, and want you to change it to what 'they' want..... not the client! This can become a VERY delicate balancing act!!

04.01.2022 I dislike cyber criminals, the malware inserting type. Somehow they found a way, through old deleted pages that still existed on the server, to add this website to theirs, for advertising their wares. I have spent all week destroying their little programs (i may have also accidently deleted the folder for the website once, and made a few other stuff ups - which were recoverable). 01.01.2022 Trying to underquote and over deliver is getting harder. Quoted on a big job, at a reasonable rate... made a follow up call, and was told they went with someone else, asked if it was a price thing .... they said no, just the other guy said he could start within 3 days (something we could do, but were never asked) , much the same price ... we usually say within 7 days, to be sure... so, still haven't heard if other guy delivered!
