18.01.2022 Hello Everyone, After a season off softball, Cowboys is now back and seeking INTEREST for the upcoming 2019-2020 season ahead. This season will also consist of a travel competition taking place for juniors over 5 weeks throughout the season. The affiliated Associations involved are ... . Geelong Softball Association . Keilor Park Softball Association . Northern Districts Softball Association . Sunshine Softball Association . Werribee Softball Association This does mean that you will be required to travel shall we enter teams, however, the benefits are for a larger and more competitive and beneficial competition for juniors. Many of you are fully aware that the club is also Rugby League based so we do apologise for the lateness. Unlike most other clubs, the processes have commenced with softball. It is that time though and the year our Association needs us more than ever. We are reaching out to all our past/present members of Raiders & Cowboys to pull your gloves/bats out and put them to use. New members are also welcome to come join. At this stage it is special interest of acknowledgement, in particular ages ranging from 3 years old to seniors of both genders. We will set dates for the upcoming Come & Try Days, along with Registration Day etc soon. Get at us if your keen! The upcoming season is only weeks away from commencing. Thanks
17.01.2022 Afternoon cowboys family, We as a committee have come to the decision that we are not going ahead with our non-competition age groups for season 2020. We have made the difficult decision regarding our juniors taking into consideration running costs of the club and the costs to the families and we feel it would be more beneficial at this late stage in the year for us to develop for next year. To resume hopefully under better circumstances in season 2021... Only our competition teams will be moving forward with this season. Any expressions of interest for 13yrs and over to be sent to our cowboys email address: [email protected] We are also doing background work behind the scenes, we will be apply for EOI for More Park so we can have a permanent foundation. We would like to thank all of our supporters and ask them to be patient with us and we hope that the families will continue to support us. There are still training and club attendance restrictions in place that will need to be adhered to moving forward. Thank you for your support an understanding. We look forward to seeing everyone next season. Your Sunshine Cowboys committee.

12.01.2022 Hey cowboys I know our page has been a bit quiet lately hope all is well an we will soon have more information on our season an what our plans are going forward. But here is a survey to anyone that is interested in. My name is Adam and I am a physiotherapist completing my PhD at Bond University. My research is focussed on optimising outcomes after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. ACL injuries are a major concern at the moment particularly in high risk sports such as... League. As such, I am reaching out to see if you can help distribute an online survey (www.tinyurl.com/aclbond) to your members and wider network, enabling me to learn about their experiences during rehabilitation and how to improve it. I am in desperate need of more respondents.
12.01.2022 Afternoon Cowboys, It is that time of year, our mini/mod juniors last game for the season will take place this coming Saturday 31st of August. The end of year junior Gala Day this season is being hosted by Northern Thunder Rugby League Club. The draw is attached for the junior Gala Day. A brief presentation of awards will be held by NRL-Vic after games, so please allocate extra time to your day for child/children to receive their medallions. This season, unfortunately Melbou...rne Storm players will not be in attendance due to being away for their game against Manly Sea Eagles. Please remember, players must be in full Cowboys uniform, just like every other week. Officials are to wear their lanyards. Always park your car accordingly and use rubbish bins at all times. The code of conduct is simple, if it is not positive, we do not want to hear it. Keep in mind, these are juniors and the referees are volunteers and also filled with juniors learning the game. Our seniors will go to battle this weekend against Pakenham Eels. Preliminary Final games are being held at Sunbury Tigers Rugby League Club. We hope to see as many of our supporters as possible at the grounds cheering our men on. Draw is attached. To all our mini/mods, we hope you have enjoyed your season as a Cowboy. Have fun, enjoy and play hard! Good luck to you all! To our seniors, wishing you all the very best. Hoping you progress further to join our U15s & U16s in the Big Dance. GO COWBOYS!

08.01.2022 NRL Victoria has received a number of queries relating to upcoming competition schedule, other programs and activities being delivered by NRL Victoria, and what clubs should be doing in relation to the current COVID-19 situation. NRL Victoria had been taking advice from government through the Department of Health & Human Services and also specifically relating to impacts of sport through the Department of Sport and Recreation. The current advice is business as usual but to p...ractice good hygiene. NOTE: as developments are changing on a daily or even hourly basis this advice could change. As of yesterday, below is current message from Sport and Recreation Victorian re COVID-19 (noting that this advice could change). Health authorities are continuing to closely monitor the situation following the outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Currently there are no known transmissions of the infection in the community in Victoria. All known cases in Victoria are due to travel overseas or through a direct link with a traveller.
