16.01.2022 Thanks guys for my home away from home. What a beautiful spot @ Cotton Tree Holiday Park and what a treat your glamping tent was. Even the thunderstorm couldn’t spoil it. I was cosy and dry inside.

15.01.2022 Serene camping spots on the Sunshine Coast Teewah Beach Camping Area, Great Sandy National Park Just two hours north of the Sunshine Coast and three hours from Brisbane, this stunning remote beach occupies a wonderful corner of the world.... Boasting impressive sand dunes, glistening water and an abundance of tree-life, this is what dreams are made of. Spend your days swimming, fishing, walking the shores at low tide, and watching birds in their elementshorebirds often sunbathe on the beach and birds of prey fly overhead. If you’re visiting during winter, set your eyes to the coastline, where humpback whales are busy migrating. When you arrive, head to the signposted 15-kilometre camping area (behind the foredunes); this is Teewah Beach’s exclusive camping spot. Take advantage of the nearby Freshwater day-use area, which features flushing toilets, picnic tables and BBQs, and there are cold outdoor showers just opposite. If you want a hot one, visit the Freshwater camping areawhere a $1 coin will get you four minutes. Make sure to bring your own food and drinking water! How to get there: Teewah Beach is only suitable for high-clearance 4WDs. You can access this beach retreat via Cooloola Beach Drivefrom either Noosa North Shore’s southern entrance or Rainbow Beach’s northern beach entrance. Another option is via the inland Freshwater Road, from Rainbow Beach.

02.01.2022 Booloumba Creek, Conondale National Park The breathtaking Booloumba Creek lies one hour and 15 minutes west of the Sunshine Coast. Accessible only by high-clearance 4WDs, there are three designated camping areas to choose from. Pick area one or three to wake up in the middle of a luxurious rainforest, or opt for area four if a grassy open forest is more your vibe. Take note that areas one and three are tents only, while four accepts caravans and campervans.... When preparing for your adventure, ensure you pack your own drinking water, rubbish bags (to dispose of outside of the park) and insect repellentready to brave the elements. And, if you need to, make use of the wheelchair-accessible toilets and payphone on site. One of the best activities to do at Booloumba Creek is to go walking. The Booloumba Falls Walk is a must-do; this walk entails a three-kilometre circuit bursting with wildlife, tall eucalyptus trees, waterfalls, boulder-filled streams and tranquil creeks. How to get there: If travelling from Brisbane, head north on the Bruce Highway, take the Kenilworth exit and continue toward Maleny. Turn off at Sunday Creek Road and you’ll arrive at Booloumba Creek in just 500 metres.
