25.01.2022 Curb the inflammation, try adding EPA /DHA supplements. Flaxseed oil and Cod Liver oil are great additions to a healthy eating plan. Cod liver oil also has the added benefit of containing beautiful food source Vitamin D, which is great for bone health and mental health. And natural Retinol (Vitamin A) for great skin! Try Rositas or Nordic naturals (original formula) liquid.

23.01.2022 Two Soft Drinks a Day 'Doubles Diabetes Risk' Drinking more than 2 soft drinks a day doubles the risk of developing two types of diabetes, a study in the Europe...an Journal of Endocrinology has found. Researchers say this applies to soft drinks that are artificially sweetened as well as those containing sugar. The latest study by the Karolinska Institute in Sweden examined the effect of drinking sugary or artificially sweetened drinks on the risk of developing type 2 diabetes The researchers found that people who drank 2 or more 200ml glasses of soft drinks a day were 2.4 times as likely to develop type 2 diabetes as those who did not drink these beverages. The risk increased in line with consumption. So, those who had 5 glasses a day of soft drinks whether sugary or artificially sweetened had more than 10 times a higher risk of type 2 diabetes. Christine Williams, professor of human nutrition at the University of Reading, observes: "A most interesting finding was that the higher risk was the same for both sweetened and artificially sweetened beverages, suggesting that greater risk of diabetes was not directly related to higher calorie intake, or adverse metabolic effects of sugar (in the form of sucrose) from the sweetened drinks." So many people believe that drinking diet drinks is a healthier option for them and will help them with weight loss, or even help their existing diabetes. Nothing could be further from the truth and this study highlights just how bad artificial sweetners and diet drinks are as well. Not to mention the other health risks shown in other studies. We know that artificially sweetened, or 'diet', drinks, stimulate appetite, blocks the bodies ability to burn fat, makes the body store fats and lead to weight gain a known risk factor for type 2 diabetes.

22.01.2022 *HOME REMEDY* I rarely get sick, however my body deemed it time to get the flu over and done with before winter sets in. I've been high dosing with a lemon, gi...nger, garlic and honey cocoction for 2 days, but when the cough hit last night I got cranky. It was one of those uncontrollable head cracking, breathless coughs that make you feel like you're about to cough up your spine and make you vomit. And i knew that because it only started at 9pm, it was going to hang around for the night. Not on my watch, man flu! For any cough, particularly a bronchial cough, this has been tried as true for me the 3 times I've needed to use it over the last 8 years. Each time, no joke, it has stopped the cough in its tracks. And all you need is an onion for this one. Slice one onion up, 'fry' it in water, and once soft you wrap it in a tea towel and place on your chest until it's no longer warm. I did reheat mine and do again because i did not want to spend the night coughing a spleen up. Seriously, give it a go. It's amazing!

20.01.2022 Link found between antidepressant use and congenital anomalies or stillbirths December 2, 2016 Swansea University... Academics at Swansea University have carried out a dose-response analysis which suggests that pregnant women who take a specific type of antidepressant in early pregnancy have a significantly greater risk of having babies with major congenital anomalies (sometimes referred to as birth defects) or stillbirths compared with those who did not take these antidepressants. Professor Sue Jordan, of the College of Human and Health Sciences led the international research team1 of academics from the UK, Denmark and Norway. The study published in the PLOS ONE journal, analysed data from more than 500,000 infants in Wales, Norway and Denmark and found that women who had been prescribed selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, known as SSRIs, in the first trimester of pregnancy or 3 months before pregnancy were at a significantly greater risk of having infants with congenital anomalies, particularly severe heart defects or stillbirths compared with those who did not take SSRIs. Now, the researchers are calling on health care professionals to take the following action:- review all women requesting SSRI prescriptions and not just those who are planning pregnancy. consider women who misuse substances or alcohol as being at higher risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes when prescribed SSRIs evaluate pre-pregnancy care when SSRIs are prescribed consider offering at-risk women enhanced scans to detect serious heart defects ensure that appropriate levels of neonatal care are available to at-risk women at birth Professor Jordan said: "To our knowledge, this is the first dose-response analysis that shows the link between SSRI doses and congenital anomalies and stillbirths. While this extra risk has been found, in my view, the outcomes are as serious as they can be. "Women should not stop taking SSRIs without consulting their doctors, and we are not saying stop all medicines, but our message is that we want our health care professionals to be very mindful of this link and to take the appropriate action to ensure that women are given the right type of care before, during and after pregnancy to minimise the risks of congenital anomalies and stillbirths linked to SSRIs." All SSRI’s are Category C drugs, which means they pose an unacceptable, or known risk, to the unborn child and could cause defects in the unborn child. It is also advised that if SSRI’s are taken in pregnancy, that they should be tapered down (and stopped) in the 3rd trimester so that the child does not have serotonin withdrawal syndrome. This information is provided in every box of SRRI’s prescribed on the CMI Consumer Medicine Information) given.

15.01.2022 The Happiness Point The Thymus Thump (also known as the happiness point) can assist to neutralize negative energy, exude calm, revamp energy, support healing ...and vibrant health, and boost your immune system. A simple but very effective energy technique involves tapping, thumping or scratching on the thymus point. The word thymus comes from the Greek word ‘thymos’ which means life energy. The thymus gland lies just beneath the upper part of the breastbone in the middle of the chest. Its role is in keeping your own life energy vibrating in high frequency. When the thymus gland is in harmony can increase your strength and vitality. Dr. John Diamond, author of Life Energy maintains the thymus gland monitors and regulates the body's energy flow. Therefore when there is an imbalance in energy flow, the Thymus Thump can help correct it. The thymus gland is linked between the mind and the body thus when there is emotional or physical disturbance can cause the thymus gland to shrink and cause depletion in this vital life energy. How to Thump Your Thymus? How to do it? Take a couple of deep, relaxing breaths. You may thump in the middle of your chest with your fist (think Tarzan) on the point shown on the chart. Or, you may want to rub softly or firmly or scratch with four fingers of your hand. Do this for about 20 seconds and breathe deeply in and out. You can also add an affirmation such as all is well in my world. You will know when you have activated the thymus gland as you will feel a little tingling or a subtle feeling of ‘joy’ or ‘happiness.’ Another hint is to do three thumps at a time but emphasis the first thump more firmly. For some people it may take a little time before you ‘feel’ anything. Persevere and you will get it and well worth it. Do this every day to ensure your life energy and thymus gland is activated but do several times a day if you are suffering from anxiety, panic attacks or stress and allow your life energy to come alive. Practice when you wake up and every time you feel a little down and lethargic. You’ll find your overall mood is improved. To Good Health!

04.01.2022 Ladies: tag him. This sneaks up on you until one day you’ve had it. The crap memory, abdominal fat that doesn’t go away, the weaker libido and lame erections ar...e not going away without you taking action. I know you hate going to doctors. Well. Man up, MTHF’R. You’re going. A little bit of inconvenience will result in years of you living life significantly better. I’m not talking about going to a standard doc. No. They’ll just prescribe Testosterone to you and mess you up a different way. You need the full package. Lifestyle, food, exercise, gut health, comprehensive blood work. I’m doing all these things now that I’m 45 years old. I had a bit of all these symptoms and it sucked. My biggest reasons for lower testosterone are two-fold: stress increases cortisol and lowers testosterone; not lifting weights lowers muscle mass and thus testosterone as well. It’s harder to lift weights when you’re tired and stressed with work. I am on the low end of testosterone, high end of estrogen and lacking desire to exercise. Thankfully, the bedroom is overall quite good but could use some optimization. So. I’m on a bit of testosterone, gaining motivation to lift again which is exciting and doing Gainswave and PRP in a few weeks so my penis can be like it’s 20 years old again. Too much information? Man up. You gotta talk about these things. Sex is amazing and a very healthy activity to do with your lover. Crappy sex can literally destroy marriages. Rekindle the fire and love you once had. It’s there. You just need to restoke the fire. So go to a naturopathic physician or functional medicine doctor and get yourself sorted. I’m getting all my tests in order this week. If I can do it, so can you. Let’s get you Optimal! PS. You can get some supplements to help but first thing is to read Dirty Genes and apply otherwise supplements may not do all you expect. Supplements I’m using now are by my company www.seekinghealth.com. I’m taking DIM+I3C with Liver Nutrients to lower my estrogen. Taking Ashwaghanda and Optimal Adrenal to help moderate my stress levels. Making a smoothie each day with protein packed, nutrient dense Optimal Prenatal. #lowtestosterone #lowlibido
