18.01.2022 NEW SUNSHINE BEACH SURF CLUB OFFICALLY OPENED Featuring panoramic ocean views, the newly redeveloped Sunshine Beach Surf Club has been officially opened th...is morning by Deputy PM Michael McCormack and member for Wide Bay Llew O'Brien. The project received $2.5 million in federal funding under the Building Better Regions Fund and was completed after five years of planning and consultation. Since the club's soft opening last month, more than 1500 new members have joined and while 87% of its trade is coming from the local catchment, the club's demographic has broadened said the supporters club president, Warick Redwood. 08.01.2022 Bronze Medallion Course starting On Wednesday 20th February - BOOK NOW Pre-requisites for the Bronze Medallion are: Must be able to complete a 400 meter pool swim in 9 minutes or less... Be 15 years of age by completion of the course Bronze training is held over a 7 week period with dry sessions (theory, first aid & CPR) on a Wednesday evenings and wet sessions (surf activities & rescue practice) on a Saturday to start until the end of the Nippers season then transferring to Sunday mornings with the final examination and "celebration" on 7th April.
