23.01.2022 Is your child returning to school after day 1? If you know your child will be returning late to school in 2021 due to extended holidays or other family reasons, it is very important that you let us know NOW via email. Please include your expected date of return. Schools are resourced on our student numbers on day 8 of the school year. Students who have not returned by Friday 5 February are not included in our resourcing numbers unless we have an email from you explaining th...e reason for late return. Just a quick email to [email protected] with a brief explanation of reason for late return is all that we require. Of course, if you are not returning and have not as yet let us know, again please send an email as a matter of urgency.

22.01.2022 Remember to collect your child’s medication from school if you are not returning to Sunshine in 2021. This is to be collected on the last day that your child is in attendance at school.

21.01.2022 TUCKSHOP NEWS FOR WEEKS 9 & 10 1 Dec to 4 Dec - Tuckshop will be operating as usual during this week, Tuesday through to Friday, however some items may be low towards the end of the week. Please order Thursday and Friday in advance as Munch Monitor has been struggling to cope with orders on these days. You can order now for Thursday & Friday. Tuckshop will be open for counter sales all week 9 for frozen treats 2nd break.... 8 Dec to 9 Dec - Tuckshop will take online orders for Tuesday week 10 however orders not available on Wednesday last day of school. Tuckshop will be open for counter sales Tuesday and Wednesday of week 10 for frozen treats while supplies last. 12.01.2022 First day procedure for Prep 2021 At this stage as COVID-19 restrictions continue to ease in Queensland prep parents will be encouraged to walk their children into the school grounds on the first day. We look forward to welcoming you and your family into our Sunshine Beach School community. Please arrive at school by 8.20am (ready for an 8.30am start time in the classroom). Drop off:... There will be a sign on a table which states class name and showing you where to wait. (Just like the Prep Open Morning). Teaching staff will meet families in the prep area and will collect your little one and walk them to their new classroom. Pick up: Parents are asked to wait under the big tree near the terraced sitting area until the bell goes. Then you may move to the meeting area for your child's class (as per the morning routine). Parents will need to maintain social distancing at all times. Learning times are as follows: First bell - 8.25am Learning time starts 8.30am Pick up time - 2.30pm
