25.01.2022 Laying down our tracks tomorrow for the #qldvirtualbrassbandfestival. Wish us luck!

23.01.2022 Nice big band getting ready for Sunday. It will be our second gig for the year!

21.01.2022 At 6am on ANZAC Day musicians everywhere are being called on to take to their front yards to play the Last Post. A grassroots campaign for Australians to comme...morate Anzac Day at dawn in their driveways is gathering momentum across the country. With traditional services and marches cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, RSL branches in every state have unanimously endorsed the gesture, with families across the nation expected to stand at their gates, on balconies or verandahs at 6am on Saturday April 25. Please join us and the rest of Australia in this special moment to remember all those who have served and sacrificed for this nation. We may not be able to stand together as we usually would, but we can still stand united in spirit. Anyone interested should download the sheet music, start practising and notify their neighbourhood via a letterbox drop. http://musicformateship.org/ #MusicforMateship #ANZACDAY #drivewaytribute #lastpost #Minutesilence #COVID19 #isolatedbutunited

20.01.2022 We may not have been able to do our usual march and service, but Sunshine Brass members were still present in their communities playing the Last Post to honour the sacrifice of our service men and women both past and present. Great effort team

14.01.2022 Someday soon when this is all over Brass Bands across the world will gather together again. The MD will bring the band in, the first note will sound and we will all be reminded how difficult it is to play with tears in our eyes.Someday soon when this is all over Brass Bands across the world will gather together again. 09.01.2022 On this significant day in our calendar we have seen the many bandsmen from schools, brass, concert and military bands performing their duty with dignity and re...verence. The performances on the driveways were poignant and very moving. Maybe we have started a new tradition. On behalf of the NBCA I thank you for your contribution to the community in this unique situation this ANZAC day. You have made it very special for the many who remember the fallen and current serving members of the ADF. Barrie Gott, President

02.01.2022 So we are resuming rehearsals this Thursday starting with half the band for an hour each. Today we set up the hall and worked out that we should be able to have 25 plus percussion while keeping 1.5m between chairs. Can't wait!

02.01.2022 First rehearsal back with almost a full band. Percussion were happy to take a week off. Next week everyone can come!
