21.01.2022 Yesterday we were part of a collaboration between The University of the Sunshine Coast (USC), local Channel 7 News and Social Work Researcher Dr Bindi Bennett a Senior Social Work Lecturer at USC. Dr Bennett has received Australia Awards- Endeavour Research Fellowship for Indigenous Australians and will travel to America in 2019 to study Equine Assisted Therapy. Dr Bennett came to meet the herd here at Sunshine Coast Animal Assisted Therapy yesterday afternoon talking and connecting easily with the horses. It was a wonderful way to spread the word on the benefits of Equine Assisted Therapy and how it has helped the many clients we have supported over the last 5 years. The interviews will air tonight on Local Sunshine Coast Channel 7 News.

17.01.2022 Back to Grazing for horses can also mean back to their resting state before flight or flight, that place where stillness, awareness and clarity resides

12.01.2022 Preparing for an Equine Assisted Therapy session this afternoon, standing in the paddock connecting with the horses and so peaceful in myself for how much I appreciate this work, how much my 8 year old self, the little girl who dreamed of horses, animals and nature is living through me right now. Sooo happy

05.01.2022 Horses can evoke unconscious patterns, themes in our life, and create a safe space to explore Trauma. It is the role of the Therapist to ask questions, be curious to the experience of human and horse, slowly, gently allowing space for exploration of the inner world pic by @abikphotography

01.01.2022 I had another incredible day as an equine therapist on Monday working alongside my beautiful herd. It made me realise we all need coaches, mentors and people trained to support us through all stages of life. From our deepest ancestry we have always sought a listener, a trainer or someone skilled in healing as part of our evolution as humans. We pay for a trainer or coach in all sports, and don’t just stop getting coached once we are competent. Even elite athletes have huge su...pport teams. The more elite and professional you become the more coaching and mentoring needed to continue at such a level. So what is the cost of your life? What price would you put on realising your dreams, of being peaceful, calm and having a life of ease? Sometimes we turn to additions, food, substances, shopping or even other people to fulfil our needs, and this can limit us from meeting with our authentic selves. If you want to start walking your talk and being healthy and at peace with your life, look at who and what you are choosing to ‘spend’ your time, money, energy and love with. If you are looking for something different, a change or something deeper, don’t stop looking and seeking until you find it I will be offering coaching and mentoring packages from mid February 2018, looking forward to meeting everyone I will be working with and celebrating life with you all this year Big love, Natalie Romeo Daisy Pearl and Lilly See more
