20.01.2022 We were hoping to slot in another BAS members and guests evening this Saturday 7th November. At this stage it looks like weather will beat us, but if that changes I will post again. Regards Ken Wishaw

16.01.2022 Great Members night last night at Maleny Golf Club. 11 telescopes and over 25 people. Started hazy but got better as the night went on, to become one of the darkest nights ever. 10.01.2022 stuck at home this weekend. Couldn't get a picture of the moon rise last night due to a wee thunderstorm but succeeded tonight.

An ingenious study in Tuscon Arizona demonstrated only 20% was due to streetlights, the rest is us. Headlights, house and business lights. 05.01.2022 Sunshine Coast Council supports dark skies investigation. The council debated dark sky matters last week and continues to investigate preserving our beautiful dark skies. Now they need to know that residents are supportive too. Councillor Winston Johnstone has been pivotal in this, he deserves our thanks and support. ... What can you do?
