22.01.2022 Excuse the view! . . Sometimes you notice different aspects if your technique from different views. It’s a good chance to take a look at the work your back does during a reasonably heavy snatch. .... . Hopefully this view can give some of you who are just started out, an idea of the movement involved. Ultimately it’s about practising over and over and feeling the movement. But it helps the see people performing the skill and different views can help you appreciate what is happening. . . Do you find it helpful? See more

17.01.2022 What’s your favourite kettlebell? . . I haven’t trained with competition style bells before. This was literally the first time I have picked up my new @kettlebellkings and snatches it. It’s a beautiful bell and I can’t wait to get it dialled in (almost like getting a new surfboard). .... . My technique was way off, my heels were lifting as I tried to guide the bell back down as my hands were getting sore. But I always like to show the not so perfect parts of learning new skills and using new tools. . . What type of kettlebells do you prefer? See more

16.01.2022 SQUATS . . If you want to learn how to create whole body tension, take two heavy bells and perform some front squats. It really teaches you how to brace your core.

10.01.2022 FIRST DAY SNATCHING . . Today was John’s first day learning how to snatch! Great little session with Brock and John in the 5:30am class. .... . Do you find snatching easy or difficult? . . Some skills seem to be easier for some people and harder fir others. We all have things that come more easily and some things which are a challenge. Sometimes it’s the challenging tasks which teach us the most! . . . . . . #kettlebellsnatch #gym #workout #learning #newskills #hardstylekettlebell See more

05.01.2022 DO YOUR HANDS SUFFER? . . Working on snatches and improving my grip. I have never appreciated the importance of grip and hand care as much as now, working on reasonably heavy snatches. .... . At the moment for me it’s following the guidance of the master @hardstyle_method . If you haven’t already, head on over to his page and watch some of his tutorials. I am soaking my hands and using sandpaper to get rid of excess calluses. Other people swear by razor blades and even pedicure tools. . . What’s your favourite hand care routine for kettlebell training? See more

01.01.2022 It’s ok to take some time off training! . . Since closing @bestrong.physio for Christmas, we have been BUSY! Working on the garden, the house and catching up with family. So this was my first training session since Friday last week. .... . It’s important to meet the guidelines for health such as those from the @who , but it’s ok to take some time out and enjoy life. Move and train when you can, but it’s ok to take some time out and get cracking again when things return to normal after Christmas. . . What training have you got planned over Christmas? See more
