16.01.2022 Sunshine Coast Netball Association is seeking a casual Canteen Assistant to work in our canteen on a Saturday during netball season. You will be preparing and serving food and drinks and providing excellent customer service to ensure our community stays well fuelled for the day! Under the leadership of our Canteen Convenor, your role will involve opening and closing the canteen, preparing and serving food in accordance with Food Safety guidelines; serving customers, and ha...ndling cash, cleaning and maintaining stock levels throughout the day. To be the perfect fit for this role, you will have some experience in a similar role and enjoy working in a team environment, be able to follow directions and communicate effectively, be physically capable of performing the requirements of the role and, most importantly, be committed to providing outstanding customer service. You will also be available to work from 6.30am to canteen close at approximately 2pm. This is a casual role for the netball season. We will ask that you commit to working our grading days on 20 and 27 March and each Saturday fixture day from 1 May 2021 through to approximately 11 September 2021 - not including school holidays. There may also be additional shifts available on Monday nights as required. Hourly rate will be as per the Fast Food Industry Award. Please apply with your resume.

Your positive feedback on our food & service is greatly appreciated, & something we will build on for season 2021. It has been our pleasure to serve you each week at club, & our major events across the season. ... We say goodbye & good luck in Year 12 to our long-time superstars Jack, whose famous Bacon & Egg Burgers are second to none! Rest assured, Jacko has passed on his secret, & they’ll be as good as ever! We’ll miss you, Jack! Looking forward to seeing you all again next year, with even bigger smiles, & even better food!

14.01.2022 We are deeply saddened by the recent loss of Darrin Voss who tragically lost his battle with cancer last week. Many of you would know Darrin who was a very active member of our community but more importantly the gorgeous father of Chloe, Zahra and Ashton and husband to Tania. Chloe Voss has umpired and played for Flinders and SCNA for many years. She has represented SCNA for the past four years at State Age and This year is our 15 Gold Captain. It so difficult to find the ri...ght words but we hope Chloe and her family know that we are here for them in this difficult time. This week in memory of Darrin we united across all clubs, at the courts, wearing his footy colours. A memorial service will be held for Darrin at 10:00 this Thursday. Due to COVID unfortunately numbers are reduced at the venue but for family and friends that would like to celebrate the memory of Darrin you can join via video. 12.01.2022 SCNA New President Announcement Introducing: Kirsten Boud Kirsten with her family relocated to the Sunshine Coast at the end of last year. No stranger to netball Kirsten worked for Netball QLD as People and Capability Lead and has been involved in the game personally for many years with both her daughters playing.... Prior to working for NQ, Kirsten has worked in the HR field for 20 plus years predominantly in the tech and retail areas. Whilst Brisbane was home before relocating, she has lived and worked in a number of places around the world. With her husband and 2 daughters, they have a Groodle named Ziggy and a cat named Banjo and outside of work and netball, Kirsten loves to read , cook , ski and explore . I am excited and humbled to take on the role of President and work with the wonderful Executive and office team to continue the incredible work Tanya has led. The venue will be fenced to help with contact tracing Spectators will be limited to 40 per court per game, make sure you maintain social distancing whilst around the courts The venue will need to be vacated between session 1 and 2, so please travel light as all items will need to be taken with you There will be a chill out zone with marquees for parents, bring your own chair or picnic blanket. Tents, marquees and other bulky items will not be permitted Please follow the signs around the venue, as well as PA announcements on the day. 02.01.2022 A friendly reminder that nominations to trial for the USC Netball Academy, Emerging Athlete Program for 2021 are due by Monday 11th January! The USC Netball Aca...demy Emerging Athlete Program (EAP), run by the University of the Sunshine Coast aims to seek out gifted athletes from Netball and other sporting backgrounds to provide an invaluable pathway, learning opportunity and access to elite player training programs. The program will be the underpinning program for the USC Thunder with a future focus towards representing the Sunshine Coast Lightning and aligned representative teams, and will provide talented athletes the opportunity to attend a 12 month training program developing key attributes and skills necessary to make it to the top of netball Athletes wishing to register to trial for the USC Netball Academy, must be a player with a Member Association. The USC Academy selectors will view individual athletes across the USC Thunder Trial process or the stand alone EAP selections to ease athlete selection process. A. Athletes wishing to trial for USC Thunder Teams and USC Netball Academy EAP program: Academy and Thunder Pre-screening Any athlete who has never played ruby or sapphire (or any state league equivalent ) before must register and attend our prescreening selections.
