14.01.2022 First Home Buyers Get Ready For 1st January 2020 Saving a deposit will never be easier! From 1st January 2020, things may become easier to buy your first home if you’re one of 10,000 borrowers eligible for the Federal Governments ‘First Home Loan Deposit Scheme’.... If you’re an eligible first home buyer, you’ll only need a 5% deposit to apply for a home loan. The additional 15% will be provided by the NHFIC (National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation), and administered by an approved lender. The Scheme will give first home buyers better access to finance without having to save a 20% deposit. (Remember under normal circumstances if you don’t have a 20% deposit, mortgage insurance would apply and on the Sunshine Coast with a purchase price of up to $400,000 that equals to another $12,768* approx that a first home buyer would have to find before being able to buy a home.) Details of the FHLDS are: First Home Buyers only Limited to 10,000 applicants per year 5% deposit must be saved first Purchase price caps apply ($475,000 in Brisbane, but on the Sunshine Coast the maximum purchase price is $400,000 Lenders are yet to be named Applicable whether buying established or building/buying new. (In addition in QLD the $15,000 FHOG still applies for new homes/units/townhouses) The NHFIC will be providing further details about the Scheme soon, including information about: * Eligibility * Participating financial institutions * The application and assessment process For More Information: https://www.nhfic.gov.au/what-we-do/fhlds/

02.01.2022 The Mooloolaba Foreshore is a special place that encourages active and healthy living. The revitalised foreshore will feature a wide, continuous waterfront pedestrian promenade and separated cycle path that takes in Mooloolaba's greatest natural asset along a one kilometre string of community, cultural, recreational and event spaces. An additional 40 percent of public parkland will cater to a variety of activities and experiences - from family barbecues on the lawn to hosting... weddings, markets, festivals and events. In August 2019 council revealed the detailed design for the foreshore and announced the first stage of construction is to commence in 2020. A Virtual Flyover of the proposed development is available to view on the Youtube channel for the Sunshine Coast Council, here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CuEix2siTA&feature=youtu.be See more
