06.01.2022 Grammar in for another try in the U15/16's grand final. Score is currently 15-0 to Grammar. In other games Noosa Red defeated Brothers/Flinders in the U12's 24-12. Grammar beat Noosa 20-15 in the U13's and Noosa pulled another win in the U14's over Maroochydore 29-3.

04.01.2022 Each year Sunshine Coast Rugby presents the Spirit of Rugby Award to a person nominated by the Sunshine Coast Rugby Community. The Award is designed to recognise very special people within that community that has made a very special contribution. The person or people that promote the true Spirit of Rugby via outstanding promotion of SKILLS, SPORTSMANSHIP, SELFWORTH AND FRIENDSHIP.... The Spirit of Rugby award in 2020 was awarded at the Sunshine Coast Stadium on Saturday to Kellee and Rob Larkin from Caloundra Juniors. If you have ever had food from the canteen at Caloundra there is no doubt that Kellee would have had a big hand in shopping, preparing and cooking the goodies, as well as gathering a great team of other volunteers to make it all happen. Similarly if you have arrived at the ground to see it perfectly set up. Rob would have had a big input to this as well as assisting the teams in which his kids play. 02.01.2022 Sunshine Coast Rugby Union invites girls aged 12-16 would are wanting to play Rugby 7's to an open information and training session at Maroochydore Rugby Union this Thursday the 9th from 4:30-6pm. The region has entered an U14 and U16's team in the Brisbane Junior Rugby Union 7's competition to be played Friday nights commencing next Friday the 17th. Teams are to be finalised this Thursday, so if you are interested in playing but cannot attend please contact Jo Kerr on 0437 335 321.

This week members of the Reds have been visiting schools and Clubs on the Sunshine Coast as part of the Reds to Regions programme initiated by coach Brad Thorn. On Monday players visited BOSS Elevators our major Junior Stingrays sponsor and presented a signed Reds jersey to Trina Kemp, general manager. As it happens Trina is the mother of Carter Gordon who has been drafted to the Reds squad this year.
