25.01.2022 Snakes that Sneak Inside!! Everyday we get called to snakes that have snuck into peoples homes, especially during this time of year. Looking for food, water or shelter, snakes will enter homes and often they are just trying to escape the scorching hot days. ... Remember to keep doors and windows shut and secured to reduce the chance of this happening to you! Even the off chance they come through the doggy door!!! Hope you enjoy part two of some of the most epic snakes we have caught inside peoples homes here on the Sunshine Coast!!! - Stu & Westy * to use this video in a commercial player or in broadcast, please email [email protected] *
25.01.2022 Diving After Goanna's is Always Dangerous! Majority of our work involves catching snakes here on the Sunshine Coast, however our four legged reptillian friends occasionally require relocating! We often get called out to Goannas in coops or in roofs as they are great climbers! Sometimes their tails are mistaken for snakes, or the nioses in the roof sound like snakes and end up being these awesome reptiles! ... Check out some of the tougest and best goanna relocations we've had here on the Sunshine Coast.. - Stu * to use this video in a commercial player or in broadcast, please email [email protected] *
24.01.2022 Spot The Snake! Hey guys, hope everyone had a great weekend. I hope everyone is as excited for the snake season to start as I am . See how you go with this spot the snake. Extra points for naming the species as well. Stu
24.01.2022 MATING VERSE FIGHTING! Please watch and share! So many people out there mistaken mating for fighting in snakes and vice versa so I have put together a video showing both so that everyone can see the differences. In the first video you will see two captive Western Brown Snakes MATING. Thanks to Jennifer for sending in this footage for us to use.... In the next three videos you will see two male Red Belly's fighting and also some male Carpet Pythons in combat as well. MATING involves much less movement with only a slight amount of jolting and twitching around the lower end of the snake usually. As you can see the male snake has his body/tail around the side of the female where he has inserted one of his hemipenes into the female. Males COMBATING/FIGHTING is very different. You will notice their heads are high off the ground and they are entangled around each other in an effort to push the others head/body down in a show of dominance. We are going to see a lot of this behaviour over the next few months so keep an eye out. Stu.

23.01.2022 What a start it was to the Snake Season! This gorgeous chunky Red Bellied Black snake dissappeared into the family's garden and didnt he take some finding. Its crazy how such a large chunky snake can just vanish into a small garden. So glad we got him. Please make sure you call a professional snake catcher especially when you have a highly venomous snake at your home. We have a large team of snake catchers with years and years of experience all over the Sunshine Coast ready ...to help you out anytime of day or night. We will always answer the phone! Stu.
23.01.2022 We've had a few of these situations this week, where snakes have entered engine bays or the inside or someones car! Luckily the lady spotted it before she drove off and called us straight away. Withy a gentle head grab, I was able to slowly manoeuvre him from under the front spring without harm to the 1.5 meter long Carpet Python, who was released safely nearby. This comes as a reminder to keep your eyes open on the roads moving into warmer weather for ANY wildlife, not jus...t snakes and call us if you need one relocated! Stu!
23.01.2022 Uh Oh! Well This Is a Bit Naughty! Richie just turned up to a job where there were a bunch of Keelback having a bit of 'fun' lets just say. 5 Blokes and 1 female. I will just leave it at that... Stu
22.01.2022 What Comes Out Of This Snake?! This is the Keelback from yesterday that was close to being dead when I arrived. It seemed like he was hurting internally and that whatever he ate wasnt sitting to well. I took the Keelback straight to the Animal Emergency Service and we were able to gently massage the food up so that the snake would regurg it. As soon as the Cane toad came out its like the snake gave a sigh of relief. Keelbacks can eat cane toads but unfortunately due to the s...nake being stuck in a bit of netting the food wasnt sitting right in its belly and it needed to come out. I monitored the Keelback overnight and as you can see at the end of the video when I release it the Keelback was back to feeling great again. Stu
22.01.2022 Big Snake On Ladies Windscreen! Wowzas. Imagine walking down to the carpark to find this big Carpet Python on your car. I guess its a good excuse to stay home for the rest of the day. Haha. How would you react if this happened to you? Do you reckon its a good enough excuse to not go to work? ... Stu.
21.01.2022 Big Snake In Kids Bed! This large Carpet Python had made its way into the family's house and decided to lay up on one of the boys beds. It just so happened that he had his electric blanket on and the snake thought it would make the most of the warmth during this cold rainy weather. What an absolute beauty! Stu.... To use this video in a commercial player or in broadcasts, please email [email protected].
21.01.2022 Carpet Python Colour and Pattern Variations This is just a small sample of the amazing variations of the local Coastal Carpet Pythons we get here on the Sunshine Coast. Arent they just amazing reptiles! These snakes are from the last few weeks alone. Please post photo of Carpet Pythons you have seen around in the comments below. Stu
19.01.2022 Two Striped Brown Snakes At One Home! A family in Diddillibah had a day full of surprises yesterday when they had not 1 but 2 Brown snakes enter their yard in a matter of an hour. I came out and relocated the first stunningly striped Brown Snake and about 45 minutes later they called me back with a second one. They have had 3 Eastern Brown snakes relocated from their home in the past few weeks. I reckon the first was a female and the second was a big male Eastern Brown sna...ke. The second one didnt even care about me at all until I grabbed him. He was definitely a man on a mission to find the female. Good fun and a great result with both caught and relocated to a nice patch of natural bushland. Make sure to watch till the end to see the big one get caught and both snakes released back into the bush. You will notice that both these snakes wanted nothing to do with me and all they wanted to do was get away. Stu

19.01.2022 First Eastern Brown Snake Of The Season! What a cracking way to start with this little orange and stripey brown snake. Have a go at the vibrant colours of this animal! It was in a ladies laundry in Mount Coolum. I am so glad she saw it go in their and didnt stumble across it later on whilst washing the clothes. Bring on the snake season! ... Stu. @ Sunshine Coast, Queensland

18.01.2022 HAVE A GO AT THE SIZE OF THIS SNAKE! Richie was holding the fort for me for a couple of days and didn't he catch an absolute beauty. This is one of the fattest (as Richie would say) Pythons we've seen in a while, which was keen for a bath haha! It was pretty awesome that the owners were happy for us to release it down the back of the property... Tag a mate who would be keen to share the bath with this monster ... Stu.
17.01.2022 Proof Snakes Can Climb!! Check out the Pure Strength of Snakes A lot of people ask if snakes can climb... The answer is YES! This incredible display of strength, character and skill is absolutely unreal to see so here we put a video together for you to share in the experience to witness for yourself! Tag a mate that thinks they could climb with no hands up a tree like a snake
17.01.2022 Cheeky Lace Monitor in Family's Roof! We arrived at a job recently to conduct a roof inspection as the family had heard some loud noises coming from the roof space. Stu
16.01.2022 Huge Food Item Was Too Heavy and Big! Have a look at the size of this possum that this snake took down. The Carpet Python did its best to try and eat it upside down but the possum proved to heavy for the snake to hold onto. Thanks to Peter for relocating this one for me. ... Stu.
16.01.2022 Just in Case You Missed it! I still cant believe this huge Carpet Python was hiding under the old ladies bin. Haha. Please share in the comments any photos or videos you have got of big old Carpet Pythons that you have seen out and about.... Hope everyone had a great weekend! Stu.
16.01.2022 Stunning Common Tree Snake from a School today. This guy was super cranky as he was being hassled by some birds before I arrived so it was a little bitey haha. How amazing are the colours on this snake! Stu
15.01.2022 MASSIVE Carpet Python From A Home In Buderim! This is about as big as pythons get in Buderim. This gorgeous Carpet Python was around 3 meters long and weighed over 10kgs and was a lot thicker than your arm. What an absolute unit of a snake. The snake was a gentle giant for the most part, however it did keep an eye on Matt thats for sure. Thanks to Matty G for catching this stunnimg snake!... Stu.

15.01.2022 Sketchy Brown Snake Call Under House! Boy oh boy, wowwe! Apologies for the swearing but it was warranted here... Called to a property in Diddillibah for a 3.5 foot Eastern Brown Snake which originally was nice and relaxed under a box, until we showed up.... He was able to evade me and hide under the house. We found some tracks in the sand and were able to locate him under some boards. The poor little guy got very defensive as we had to corner him to catch him in one of the most dangerous situations I’ve had to deal with. Enjoy this one - Stu
15.01.2022 When Your Food Doesnt Quite Go Down Right! This gorgeous little Keelback was in a world of hurt when we found him caught up in a mesh bag at a home in Maroochydore. As soon as I got him out from being stuck in the bag he still didnt seem well at all and I noticed something in his stomach that wasnt sittng right either. I took the snake to the Animal Emergency Service and the awesome vets were able to carefully help the Keelback regurg its meal. As soon as the cane toad got r...egurgitated the Keelback seemed to feel a whole lot better. Keelbacks are capable of eating cane toads however this one wasnt sitting too well in the snakes stomach. We are monitoring the snake overnight to make sure its ok. Video to come! Stu.
14.01.2022 A Few Brown Tree Snakes From The Last Few Days! How cool are these guys! These are a nocturnal species and sometimes when we catch them and wake them up they can either be sleepy or cranky! If someone woke you up I am sure you would be cranky too! Stu
14.01.2022 Mating Eastern Browns + Third-wheel Garden Hose too?!? When we arrived at a call for a big Brown Snake, Richie straight away spotted a healthy Eastern Brown Snake mating with the garden hose!!! At a closer look, we found a darker Eastern Brown Snake next to it, and he must have been confused with the garden hose being right next to them! Waiting for a chance to get them both, the smaller and darker one disappeared without a trace but managed to catch the bigger one and rel...ocated him back into the bush! No doubt we will be back at that property for the other one soon... and not for the hose!
14.01.2022 What Did This Snake Eat In Their Roof?! We are getting calls everyday for people with snakes moving around in their roof space. Snakes are actually great to have up there as they eat all the rats, however like in this situation the snakes were making a lot of noise in the early hours of the morning and they werent getting a lot of sleep so the home owners wanted them relocated. If you are after advice on snakes in roof spaces or you are after a roof inspection please feel fr...ee to call us anytime! Stu
13.01.2022 Snakes that end up inside your house! We often get asked whether snakes enter peoples homes. The answer is Yes. We get called out everyday to snakes that have snuck into peoples homes, especially during this time of year. Snakes will enter homes looking for food, water or shelter and often they are just trying to escape the scorching hot days. ... Generally entering through an open door or window or even gaps under doors, around or under the garage door and even through the doggy door (rare but it has happened). 13.01.2022 Python on Eggs at Childcare Centre Being called to a Sunshine Coast Childcare Centre for a snake is always a high priority job for the safety and peace of mind of staff and children there! When we arrived, the Coastal Carpet Python was seen moving into a pile of mulch and bark. Finding it sitting just underneath with a clutch of eggs with her! This is such an awesome activity to witness and as you can imagine, the females are very defensive about their eggs!... We encouraged her off the eggs nicely, and moved her into the bag. Then the eggs are gently taken as well and incubated by a wildlife rescue team so they can hatch accordingly! For us this is the first clutch of female snake eggs we’ve relocated for the season and hopefully they will all hatch out and we can go pick them up to release them into the wild! - Stu & Westy
13.01.2022 Huge Snake On Kids Bed In Beerwah! Check out the size of this Carpet Python that made its way inside a family's home today to get out of the rain. He was also enjoying the warmth of the electric blacket that was on haha. Video to come!... Stu

12.01.2022 The Biggest Brown Snake I Have Ever Seen! It was a year ago that Donnie caught this absolute machine of a Eastern Brown Snake. To this day it is still the largest Brown Snake we have ever caught. I have had a few come close over the past 12 months but nothing beats this fella. Hopefully meet him again one day!... Stu.
12.01.2022 Tis’ the season to fight Bloke snakes go crazy at this time of year fighting over a woman. Often during combat, they do not care for their surroundings as they are so pre-occupied in their battle for for a female snake! Such a cool sight to see just like Michael Lake did here when he snapped two Red Bellied Black Snakes in the yard but can go on for hours as they push the other’s heads down and wrap around each other trying to dominate and wear out their opponent ... - Stu #snakes #fighting #redbelly #blacksnake #venom #venomoussnakes #fightingsnake #fight #reptile #animal #wildlife #reptiles #animals #rescue #snakecatcher #sunshinecoast #wildlifephotography #crazy #nature #outdoors @ Sunshine Coast, Queensland
12.01.2022 Red-bellied Black Snake Hides in Chairs Arm Rest at Maroochydore Home Today we were called to a townhouse on the canal behind the Maroochydore Home Maker Centre! The snake was seen trying to get up underneath the chair, when they lost sight of it! Richie arrived within minutes of them losing sight of the black snake. After 15 minutes of turning the furniture upside down, Richie spotted the snakes belly scales, up underneath the arm rest of the wicker outdoor couch! ... A very frustrating and slow process to get the cute and highly venomus Red-bellied Black Snake out and relocated back into the bush...
11.01.2022 How Good Does The New Snake Mobile Look! Over the next few months we have some big announcements to make and I thought I would start it off with revealing the new Car design! A massive thanks to Signsmith Signs & Graphics for designing and installing this awesome wrap for the business vehicle. Sean did a fantastic job.... 11.01.2022 Red Bellied Black Snake eats Common Tree Snake!!! We were called to a pony club out the back of Nambour on the Sunshine Coast to a good sized Red Bellied Black Snake eating a Common Tree Snake right at the back of the building! When Richie arrived it had finished his lunch and hid to digest when suddenly it made a dash through the water to escape! He wasn’t quick enough to get away from two sets of alert eyes and was relocated safely... Trying to demonstrate the nature of a... venomous snake once again proved to us that they just want to get away and escape Check it out and Enjoy
11.01.2022 This turned out to be a tough and frustrating job! We were called out to a possible brown snake in a laundry which hid in under a sink! Taking more than 40 minutes to pull apart the whole room and eventually finding a cute Common Tree Snake tucked right up in the corner. Even coping a bite from the little guy while trying to locate him! It was certainly lucky that the house owner saw the snake go in there and isolated the laundry otherwise it could have been a whole differe...nt game! After ripping apart this laundry, everyone was happy and the little guy was relocated out of the way and back into the bush! Stu.
09.01.2022 Another day, another huge snake! This good sized Coastal Carpet Python was relocated from a backyard in Mons right after the monster from the elderly ladies bin... DISCLAIMER: before people get upset about the angle of this photo, it has NOT been photoshopped however a well used angle to show you the size of the snake This is a commonly used tactic by animal handlers, fisherman and people looking to make things look a little more impressive... #hugesnake #snake #animal #reptile #sunshinecoast #wildlife #wildlifephotography #nature #animals #reptilesofinstagram #queensland #awesome #carpetpython #rescue #wildliferescue

08.01.2022 The snakes just keep getting bigger. We were genuinely surprised when we revealed this monster carpet python from under the bin on their front porch in Nambour today. It is pretty crazy how this big snake somehow fit under the small wheelie bin... This is one of the biggest carpet pythons I've caught in years! As you can tell, I was pretty stoked. He was taken a good distance away to live a longer life and hopefully not scare anymore old ladies!!! It was a day of huge snakes...... stay tuned for more! 07.01.2022 How Awesome Are Eastern Brown Snakes Here is the healthy Eastern Brown Snake we released yesterday after it accidentally mated with a garden hose instead of the other snake next to him! 07.01.2022 Red Belly In Kids Toy Basket! Wow! I still cant believe I found this chunky Red Bellied Black Snake in a kids toy basket. The mum and daughter spotted it as they grabbed some toys out of the basket. It certainly was a near miss but also shows that the Red Belly also was trying to hide and stay away from them as well. This snake got inside due to a door being left open. If you don't want snakes inside then please keep doors and windows shut or install fly screens. Also block ...up any gaps under doors around the house. Stay safe in this storm guys! Looks Nasty! Stu
07.01.2022 Red Belly In Aircon Unit! Whats the go with venomous snakes in aircon units lately haha. This took ages to get the snake out but we got there eventually. Before any aircon guys or sparkies have a heart attack I had all of the power off to the aircon before poking around. It was a very healthy Red Belly and I am sure he appreciated being relocated to a more appropriate location. ... Stu

05.01.2022 This afternoon we had an awesome call to a home who had two big carpet pythons fighting it out in their front lawn. The occupant was worried about kids and small pets so we relocated them to some nearby bushland! A lot of people believe this is snakes mating, however it is in fact how male snakes fight it out over a nearby female. I promise one day when I can get footage of snakes mating, I will do a comparison video for you to show the difference! Stu.
05.01.2022 Hearing Noises In Your Roof?! Well these home owners certainly were being kept awake as when Matt headed out to do a roof inspection he found 3 huge Carpet Pythons in there roof space. 04.01.2022 Eastern Brown Snake in Family's Pool! This gorgeous little stripey brown snake must have been cruising along enjoying his day until suddenly found itself falling and becoming trapped in an empty pool. This has happened a few times over the last few weeks. The snake was super chilled out and I am sure it appreciated being relocated out of the pool and back into some nice natural bushland away from homes and roads. The family can now continue to clean the pool and fill it back... up ready for summer! Stu.

03.01.2022 Puppy Gets Strangled By Python But Survives! This is like something out of a horror movie! Wally the puppy dog was grabbed by a large Carpet Python late last night at a home in Caloundra West. The snake began the process of constricting the puppy...but then the owners came to the rescue!... They were able to grab the Carpet Python and slowly uncoil it from the tail end all the way to the head! The lady also got bitten by the snake in the process! Luckily in the end the dog, the owner and the snake were fine. Please before you get angry at the snake just understand that the Python was simply looking for food and it just so happened to stumble across Wally the small puppy dog! Wow what a story Wally and his owners have to tell! The Carpet Python was released back into the bush away from homes and roads! - Stu & Westy
03.01.2022 Eastern Brown Snake Inside Aircon! This job turned out to be a little bit complicated. I was called out to a local gated community in Marcoola where a decent sized brown snake was spotted crusing around the village. The gentleman following the snake from a distnace saw it disapear under an aircon unit. After searching the area for a while, I came to terms with having to pull apart this aircon, where we found the Eastern Brown Snake hiding up inside. Everyone was very happy a...nd thankful to see this highly venomus snake moved on from the gated community safely. - Stu
02.01.2022 Which one is heavier? This giant Carpet Python which was 3 plus metres was "getting jiggy with it" with a much smaller python on top of a fence in Buderim yesterday (not the most comfortable place for it). When Willow (Richie's 6 year old daughter) and Richie arrived the snakes had split up and they had to search for a while to find the smaller one. Once found they released them both together to hopefully continue their business. Willow always likes to release the snakes herself and gets upset if Richie try's to help her. There was no way she was lifting this one out of the car herself though as it wasn't far off her own weight. Crazy!

02.01.2022 This was an epic roof inspection thats for sure! A gentleman had a dead Brown Tree snake turn up in his air conditioner and was hearing lots of noises in his roof so he had us come out and conduct a full roof inspection. It ended up being one of the toughest and most epic inspections I have done! 4 snakes in total plus I copped a bite from one of them at the end so be sure to watch the whole video. If you are wanting a roof inspection done at your property give us a call anytime. Stu.
