Surf conditions are currently subject to Northerly winds at 10-15 knots with wind affected surf on the exposed locations. The downside is that the early low tide is not doing us any favours with the banks starting to shape up as the tide rolls back in. Make the most of the morning surf under the lighter Northerly winds as they will strengthen through the day at 15-20 knots. Wave height along the south facing open beaches is in the 4-5ft range with it being smaller as you head into the southern corners. The points is well the action will be all day as the forecast for SSE winds getting up to 20 knots plus will blow out the open beaches. Expect crowded surf conditions on the points, particularly Noosa and the The Bluff and corner at Alex. The morning surf conditions are currently looking the best under fresh SSW winds. Those wanting a swim, be aware of stronger currents and larger surf and it is advised to swim only on those patrolled beaches between the red and yellow flags, with the southern corner of Mooloolaba and Noosa the pick of the beaches.
